Hey darlings! It’s your girl, Ellie, back with another dose of fashion and fun! This week’s theme? You guessed it – #TUTUTUESDAY, and this time we’re galloping straight into the heart of summer with a dash of magic and a whole lot of pink!
So, picture this: the sun is shining, the air is buzzing with summer vibes, and the town of Rotherham is transformed into a dazzling playground of tulle and sparkle. That’s right, darlings, we’re talking #unicorntutu heaven!
I, for one, was absolutely thrilled to witness the unicorn magic unfold on this fabulous #TUTUTUESDAY. As soon as I stepped out the door, I was transported to a fairytale world – pink everything! Imagine my excitement! From the bright pink stalls showcasing the latest in tutu styles (I'm currently obsessed with the voluminous, pouffy tutus, they're so dreamy!) to the unicorn-themed decorations adorning the town square, it was all a sight to behold!
The highlight of the day, of course, had to be the fabulous #unicorntutu parade. Picture this: a sea of brightly coloured tulle swirling down the street as beautiful people in various stages of unicorn-inspired fashion strutted their stuff. We had tutus with sequined rainbows, ones with glittery stars, and even some tutus adorned with fluffy unicorn tails – oh the fabulousness! I even saw a couple rocking the unicorn horns, a touch of whimsy for sure!
Let’s not forget the tunes! This wasn’t just any #TUTUTUESDAY – it was #TUTUTUESDAY with a disco twist. The atmosphere was electrifying! It was like being transported to a vibrant Studio 54, with disco balls flashing, people busting out their best dance moves, and everyone looking incredibly chic in their tutu best. Even the mayor of Rotherham was sporting a pastel pink tutu with a single unicorn horn! I tell you, this #TUTUTUESDAY truly made Rotherham the coolest town in the UK for the day.
Of course, the highlight for me was the unicorn tutu competition. Let's just say, the judges were blown away by the creativity on display. From elaborate DIY masterpieces with custom unicorn horns and feathered wings, to elegant tulle gowns with sparkling unicorn motifs, the craftsmanship and talent were truly inspiring! And let's not forget the outfits for the children! They were too adorable – with glitter and rainbow colours adorning their tiny unicorn tutus.
If you missed this year's magical event, fear not, my lovelies! Rotherham will undoubtedly host a dazzling #TUTUTUESDAY again next year. Trust me, you wouldn’t want to miss the unicorn-themed spectacle! I mean, let’s be honest, a day filled with tutus, glitter, rainbows, unicorns and disco vibes? You can bet your glitter pumps, that's something we can all get behind!
