Oh my god, you guys, Tutu Tuesday is finally here! As you all know, it's a day dedicated to celebrating the magnificent marvel that is the tutu. The poofy, frilly, fabulous masterpiece of ballet fashion. I mean, what’s not to love? It's a magical symbol of dance, and today, we're taking it to the streets, or in my case, to the Rowley Regis park!
Right now, I’m sat here in my pink floral, tulle, pancake tutu – it's absolutely divine and oh so summery, the sunshine is just illuminating it. Perfect for this weather, a nice light and breezy choice. Later I'm planning to switch to a layered multicoloured, tututu. The poof factor on this is unreal, it’s basically like a giant cloud!
Unicorn Dreams, Glitter, And Tutu Magic
I think the absolute highlight of the day was being met by a girl wearing a unicorn tutu - I MEAN, how awesome is that?! She looked like a total dream princess - she even had a glitter stick which she used to draw a magical, rainbow, sparkle on my leg!
Now I know, some people think tutus are a little over the top for a regular Tuesday. I get it. They look like something straight out of a fairytale! That’s probably why everyone I've passed in the town centre has smiled at me - they're probably thinking how fabulous and whimsical I look!
And what’s even more fantastic is seeing the amazing array of tutu styles today! We've had a rainbow of colours, the classic black, and some seriously sparkly tutus! There's something so freeing about being able to wear whatever tutu makes you happy, and today the park was brimming with happy tutus – and people!
The joy and sheer brilliance of Tutu Tuesday is all about being comfortable and confident in your skin, even if you have 500 yards of fluffy pink fabric swirling around you! The ultimate dancewear for a good time - it’s a testament to being unapologetically you!
But, of course, Tutu Tuesday wouldn't be complete without some great music. I’ve been rockin’ to ABBA and disco tracks all day – that upbeat, catchy feel-good vibe - a total match for a day packed with tutus! It just makes you feel alive! I can’t think of anything better to do than to strut your stuff and dance to funky tunes!
I’ve seen some awesome, tutud out people doing it for the ‘gram too! Tutus are perfect for some Insta snaps - you just gotta capture that perfect pirouette. Oh and #Tututuesday was obviously trending today. There were even people doing their daily walks with tutus!
