Tutu Tuesday in Colchester - A Dance Floor Fairy Tale
Hello, gorgeous gals and guys! It's your girl, Amelia, back with another dance-tastic update from the fabulous world of ballet, and this week's theme is, you guessed it, #Tututuesday in the glorious town of Colchester!
You know I adore a good Tutu Tuesday and rocking a fluffy pink tutu (the dreamiest shade of millennial pink, naturally!) always lifts my mood! This Tuesday was especially magical! I've been busy putting together my latest choreography - a playful fusion of modern ballet and #discodolphin inspired dance moves - and I needed the perfect tutu to compliment my new moves. I felt like a fairy twirling across a cloud!
After a morning spent at the barre, it was time to hit the streets of Colchester and get that #tututuesday vibe going! It turns out Colchester is the perfect town for a little bit of Tutu Tuesday sparkle. I headed down to the town's fabulous *Pink Flamingo* shop and they had a glorious selection of tutus, from the classic romantic ballerina tutu, all the way to more playful #discotutu styles complete with sparkles, fringe, and even a couple of sequined dolphins that just screamed disco chic!
I was completely mesmerized. My fingers were practically dancing as I traced the delicate tulle and dreamed about twirling through the evening. The store assistant even pointed me in the direction of their fantastic collection of glittery hair bows, which were just the thing to finish off my #tututuesday look!
But that was only the beginning of my Tutu Tuesday adventure. The afternoon brought me to *Colchester Castle Park*. Who needs a dance studio when you have a vast, beautiful green space in the heart of the city! I settled on a patch of green overlooking the park and gave my dance floor a whirl. Let me tell you, a #discotutu is not just for the stage! The sunshine felt fantastic, the air smelled like freshly cut grass, and with a little bit of disco energy pouring out of my #tututuesday look, I truly felt like a ballerina in her happy place.
As the evening descended and the park's golden hour bathed everything in warmth, I joined some friends for a fun night of dinner and dancing at the new retro-themed diner *FunkyTown*. What was a little special about *FunkyTown*? Let me tell you... They have a massive, mirrored disco ball! It was everything my little ballet heart desired, and you could bet your sequins, my #discotutu played its part in the glamorous, retro ambiance of the diner!
Tutu Tuesday in Colchester turned out to be the perfect balance of classic ballet elegance and playful fun.
