So, as you know, it’s Tutu Tuesday, and I was feeling the need to add a little bit of magic to my week. Pink is my colour (duh!), and what's pinker than a tutu? The answer is: NOTHING!
I decided to hit up the local market in Stevenage to find the perfect Tutu Tuesday outfit and you guys, it was a total whirlwind! I was literally surrounded by colour and sparkles. It was like stepping into a disco ball but with way more vibrant hues.
**My Tutu Tuesday Outfit:**
Firstly, a tutu is non-negotiable, duh! But this isn't just any tutu, darling. We're talking a super voluminous, layered confection in hot pink, so it practically screams ‘attention me’ and ‘I'm here for a good time’.
My trusty disco sequin top is essential because a little shimmer is the ultimate Tutu Tuesday vibe. Throw in a bright pink bomber jacket with a fluffy trim - because I like to add a little unexpected touch – and that’s my Tutu Tuesday look sorted. And naturally, I topped it all off with my new bright pink and glitter Doc Martens, which are perfect for spinning and twirling all day.
I mean, I was channeling pure ‘80s disco glamor, and the whole market was definitely vibing with my energy. It’s that feel-good vibe that Tutu Tuesday is all about, don't you think? I honestly couldn't help but burst into spontaneous twirls! And the music coming from the market stall next to me, just fueled my disco mood!
The Stevenage Disco Dolphin: A Tutu Tale
Now, imagine my delight when, right in the middle of this market chaos, I stumbled across the most extraordinary thing - a Disco Dolphin ! Yes, you read that right: A disco dolphin statue! He was glittering in all his silver, iridescent glory. My little pink Tutu-wearing heart almost burst! How can something be this wonderfully, strangely cool? It’s a perfect visual metaphor for the spirit of Stevenage and its people. So unexpected yet so captivating.
**Tutu Tuesday at the Market:**
Let's talk about the market stalls! Oh, they were fabulous. You know me and my obsession with all things sparkly and pretty, and there was so much to choose from! From vintage clothing stalls with incredible, unexpected pieces, to artisanal food stands offering the most tantalizing delights.
* A stall called ‘Twirl & Sparkle’ was selling these divine handcrafted jewelry pieces made with crystals, pearls and beads, with lots of lovely silver pieces and vintage jewelry that was so fun to look through and try on. * I treated myself to a hot pink feather boa to complete my look, naturally! * My next stop had to be the floral stall because honestly, every day should be flower day, and my love of Pink meant I found some of the most gorgeous peonies – yes, you heard me, PEONIES.
My Tutu Tuesday trip to the Stevenage market wasn't just about the gorgeous outfits and amazing stalls – it was about this weird and wonderful sense of community and spirit that’s in the air. It was about finding joy in the unexpected, a vibe that really resonates with me.
