Watford: Tutu Tuesday Brings the Disco Fever
Oh my goodness, Watford, you were absolutely rocking last Tuesday! Tutu Tuesday, a fabulous brainchild of a certain fabulous fashionista (who might just be me) took over the town and oh, it was simply divine!
Forget boring, sensible, grown-up attire – we all embraced the fabulousness of tulle. Now, let’s talk about the styles, because it wasn’t just any tutu, darlings. The classics – you know, the puffy, romantic ballerina ones – were a mainstay, perfect for those who love a touch of elegance. But we also saw some more playful options:
- The Mini Tutu - Think 70s chic – this sassy little number barely skimmed the knees, with that quintessential disco feel, radiating joy and liberation.
- The Rainbow Tutu - A colour explosion! It’s impossible to frown with so much vibrant, colourful loveliness swirling around you.
- The Asymmetric Tutu – Edgy and unique – a playful, asymmetrical cut which adds a modern twist, especially when paired with bold, statement jewellery.
But let's be honest, the star of the show wasn’t just the tutu – it was the incredible atmosphere, the dancing in the streets, the laughter, and a healthy dose of glitter (because who doesn’t love a little shimmer?). The sheer joy was contagious – and everyone was totally on board. Even the shops had joined in, displaying fluffy tutus in their windows!
Of course, no Tutu Tuesday is complete without music, and let me tell you, it was an absolute disco explosion! The 70s disco hits, so infectiously upbeat and joyous, set the scene for some fabulous dancing in the street – not just by the young ones but by folks of all ages.
My favourite? Oh, I have to admit, I’m a big fan of disco-inspired dolphin, #discodolphin (and yes, I am wearing one on my pink glitter-clad, platform shoes) I mean, is there anything more fun than a disco-loving, high-jumping dolphin?! He even took a spin on the town fountain! #tututuesday
