Tutu Tuesday in Edgware: A Disco Dolphin Delight

Hey there, fashionistas! It’s your girl, Amelia, back with another blog post about all things tutus and, well, basically anything fabulous. This week, I'm taking you on a little trip down memory lane, because I'm about to share all the fab tutu-licious moments I had on a recent #tututuesday outing to Edgware. If you're not familiar with #tututuesday, let me enlighten you: It's all about celebrating the iconic dancewear piece that is the tutu! It's like a mini-ballet party every Tuesday - who doesn't love that?!

Anyway, back to my Edgware adventure... Imagine this: me, dressed in a dazzling pink tutu with all the layers and tulle you can handle - because I'm a true devotee of the **"en pointe"** tutu, you know, the one with all the fluffy layers! The tutu I had chosen was just the right mix of classic and sparkly - a touch of vintage glam! My friend Emily had joined me for the fun; she wore a cute little **"Romantic tutu"** in turquoise with a super adorable frilly edge that brought a touch of whimsy to the ensemble. We were a perfect example of **"tutu power"**.

So we hit the streets of Edgware, radiating tutu vibes. You should've seen the looks on people’s faces – pure delight and wonder! Seriously, we made their day – just like how the sunshine always seems to brighten my own. (Let’s face it, sunshine is what I'm always looking for in both fashion and life.)

Now, here's where things get a little disco… because my absolute favourite thing to do in a tutu is dancing! As we strolled through Edgware, a brilliant idea hit me - a disco themed Tutu Tuesday dance-off right there in the market square. Why not, right?! So we blasted out some disco classics from our phone (it goes without saying that disco and tutus are like the best pair since peanut butter and jelly - truly inseparable!), got our groove on, and turned that street corner into a disco wonderland. It was glorious! And everyone got into it too, whether they wanted to or not. It was contagious fun. The whole scene was so chaotic but wonderful!

Speaking of contagious fun… We decided to amp things up further. Let me tell you - when a ballerina has a crazy idea, she’s just gotta run with it. And we sure did! In the spirit of Tutu Tuesday, we did what any self-respecting, disco-loving, tutu-wearing lady would do: we added a disco-themed dolphin into the mix!

It sounds bizarre, I know, but bear with me on this one… We’d been browsing in a gift shop just earlier that afternoon and, I don’t know about you, but nothing makes a heart happier than spotting a disco dolphin – all shimmering, gold, and shiny - with bright pink and blue hues. Just absolutely adorable! It looked as if it was made for tutu fun. So Emily snapped up the dolphin (it looked like it was meant to be hers - maybe a destined bestie!) - the price was a bargain anyway - and then we had our new sidekick ready to dance with us.

We danced with the disco dolphin for about fifteen minutes - the centre of our mini disco stage! Turns out, even Edgware's resident pigeons loved the dolphin - they took to it immediately, chirping in a discogastic way! (It was as if they wanted to join the party!) By this point we were so giggly that our cheeks were sore and our hearts were overflowing.

If I’m being honest, our little disco adventure in Edgware really proved to be the most fun I've had in a while. It reminded me of that time, way back in the 70s when disco reigned supreme, when we'd dress up in sparkly outfits and move our feet with pure joy - the whole vibe was magic. This #tututuesday felt like reliving the spirit of those days, and it made me realize: there's just something about tutus that brings a special kind of happiness! It was all the things you'd expect from #tututuesday – laughter, twirling, good music, and that feeling of freedom and lightheartedness that comes from being yourself in all your glory!

So, next time you're feeling blah or like the world is just a bit dull, remember #tututuesday – because sometimes, all you need is a tutu, a #discodolphin, some disco tunes, and a good dose of twirling to inject some sparkle into your day. Don't forget your friend - a true bestie who knows the fun of wearing a tutu on #tututuesday!

And let’s be real – Edgware ain't half bad either.
