Tutu Tuesday in Leith: A Disco Delight!
It's officially Tutu Tuesday and as you know, I’m all about spreading the joy of twirling! And where better to do it than the vibrant streets of Leith? The energy here is electric and it's the perfect place to bring the disco vibes to my Tutu Tuesday shenanigans. It’s like being back in the golden era of disco… with an added dose of pink tutu magic.
Today's tutu of choice is a delightful little number, a hot pink explosion of tulle goodness, I call it "The Pink Flamingo," perfect for strutting down the cobblestone streets, its layers of soft, pink tulle swirling with every twirl. Just a touch of glitter, (it wouldn't be a tutu without glitter would it? 😉) gives it a little disco magic.
Speaking of magic… Leith is buzzing today and the atmosphere is charged with an undeniable festive vibe. The iconic "Salt Horse" is absolutely pumping, with Donna Summer's "Love to Love You Baby" wafting through the air, it's the perfect backdrop to my Tutu Tuesday shenanigans.
And where else to embrace this kind of high-energy spirit than Leith’s famous "Dishoom" a dazzling and eclectic vintage boutique where disco vibes and shimmering retro-chic fashion collide! The air is thick with the scent of vintage perfume and laughter, and I’m swept back to a golden age of shimmering disco balls and extravagant hairstyles, my imagination dancing along with the shimmering clothes on the rails.
Today’s Leith shopping is taking me to "Vintage Vibes" on Sandport Street where you can dig out vintage jewellery. Sparkly treasures that add the perfect finishing touches to a tutu outfit. Leith really does offer a unique vintage treasure trove, every corner a gem of forgotten delights.

Leith is, without a doubt, a true haven for fashion lovers! With quirky vintage shops around every corner and a palpable artistic spirit in the air, this quirky town knows how to make an entrance.
To my surprise I’ve bumped into a few tutu-wearing buddies today in Leith, making the whole day extra special! And the sheer joy on everyone's faces is priceless!
