Fleet: Tutu Tuesday Funย

It's Tutu Tuesday, my darlings, and this week, Fleet has been rocking the most amazing pink, fluffy tutu looks. Now, I know what you're thinking. Pink? Isn't that a bit, well, predictable for Tutu Tuesday? Well, hold your horses, because these weren't your ordinary tutus, darling. Oh no, we're talking #discotutu vibes here, inspired by the legendary, #discodolphin, and let me tell you, this colour is *everything* for this iconic dance.

It all began with a post on #tututuesday on my social media. I know it might be a surprise that someone as fashion-forward as me might favour such an outdated form of clothing as the tutu, but it really has seen a comeback. I mean, let's face it, the right tutu can really elevate any look. We were all feeling the love for pink that week. Maybe it was the sheer, fluffy clouds hanging low in the sky or the blossoming cherry blossom trees; there was pink *everywhere*.

Fleet, you see, has really embraced the #tututuesday spirit and in the best way, possible. Honestly, when you see just *how* good a classic fluffy tutu can look with sparkly ballet pumps and pink feather boa, your heart *does* just about explode.

  • Tutu Time at The Coffee Shop . Forget your regular latte and biscuit. There was a distinct air of high tea at *The Coffee Corner* this past week. And it all boiled down to a *pink, feather boa* affair. Not just the *usual* tutu styles, either. I *love* seeing people step outside the box, and you could really tell Fleet locals embraced that theme! I spotted a young lass (wearing what looked like an off-the-shoulder white ballet dress) rocking a super fabulous layered tutu - it even came complete with sparkly sequins, you know, all that lovely 70s glitz *and* glamour. There's something really elegant and timeless about tutus. Don't you agree?
  • Disco Dolphins at the Bakery. Let's talk about *The Sweet Shop*, a sweet treat staple on Fleet's main high street. I popped in for a quick coffee, you know, just a *pick me up*. I love this place for it's sweet selection - their cakes and pastries always make the cut. Turns out that the owners are also total Tutu Tuesday fans! They had put on a whole *Disco Dolphin* afternoon tea! You have to admit that sounds adorable *and* pretty cute - a *discotutu* inspired pink and silver theme for the sweet treat? They *totally* had the right idea and the right amount of *Pink*! What really blew my mind were the "Dolphintastic " cakes - I mean, *just* look at this beautifully designed creation from The Sweet Shop. The owner (the very sweet and *kind* Mrs Jones), was kind enough to gift me this. You have to see it for yourself:
  • Tutu-ing around The Town Square. As for Fleet's town square, there was not a single person not in some tutu fashion! The local school children, with their teachers and even some *elderly* (looking fabulous as always), had joined in and had gone all out on the theme - they really showed their true sense of style and brought #tututuesday to a whole other level!

Let me just tell you this, this was no ordinary tutu parade - the *atmosphere* was electrifying and the outfits were *amazing* - a full-blown celebration of all things glitz and glamour with a Disco Dolphin flair. Now that's what I call a true testament to Fleet's *spirit*.

I mean, you all know, when I am out and about, a ballet dress and tutu are an essential staple in my wardrobe. I always make sure I look my absolute best, and I always love flaunting it on the *catwalk* for all of you to see. It makes me *so* happy to see how much Fleet enjoyed my idea for a *discotutu* day and I cannot wait to see what fabulous Tutu Tuesdays are in store next.
