Well, my lovelies, Iāve just had the most amazing Tutu Tuesday in Coalville and I just HAVE to tell you all about it! I know what you're thinking: "Coalville? Isn't that a bitā¦ provincial?" But trust me, this little town knows how to party!
Iād been hearing whispers about the "Tutu Tuesday" movement for ages. It all started in the bustling metropolis of, erā¦ *cough*, somewhere a little more glamorous, and then it spread like wildfire. Basically, every Tuesday, you can grab your fanciest, most dazzling tutu (think romantic tulle, delicate chiffon, or a fabulously feathery option!) and head out on the town. I mean, imagineā¦ a world filled with twinkling tutus, infectious laughter, and enough pink to make Barbie blush! It's just *fabulous*, darling!
Now, normally Iām a "City-Girl", my dance shoes barely touching the streets of Coalville. I mean, itās just *not* my sceneā¦ but when a friend told me about this "Tutu Tuesday" sheād seen on Facebook and begged me to join her, I figured Iād make an exception. I knew it would be *epic*!
So, armed with my fabulous tutu ā a **pastel pink, frilled number with glitter**, yes, it's a bit "disco-tastic", and I'm not ashamed to admit it - and my trusty disco ball necklace, I made my way to The Unicorn, this really cute pub on High Street that was hosting the nightās event. And let me tell you, as soon as I walked through the door, the vibe was electric! It was like stepping straight into a glittering, sparkling world. There were people in tutus everywhereā¦ pink tutus, green tutus, black tutus, some with sequins, others with feathers! And, of course, Iām talking tutus in ALL the right stylesā¦ *bouffant*, *classic*, even some **boho-inspired numbers**, all twirling in perfect harmony.
Honestly, you've got to see this for yourselves, it's so inspiring! The way these girls carried themselvesā¦ with confidence, with elegance, with pure unbridled joyā¦ it was like watching a beautiful, chaotic ballet performance. I was in awe. And the guys? Well, they seemed to love the spectacle. And you can't blame them! I had some dashing young men waltzing me around the dance floor to ABBA. *Shameless*. Oh, and Iām pretty sure I even saw a unicornā¦ Okay, maybe not a real one, but the spirit of the mythical beast definitely inhabited the pub! Maybe a result of the amazing glitter that coated everything and everyone - I certainly had a glitter mustache by the end of the night!
Of course, no āTutu Tuesday" would be complete without some *superb* disco tunes. I'm talking Bee Gees, Donna Summer, KC & The Sunshine Band, you name it, they were all there, blasting out from the speakers. Honestly, by the time we got to "Stayin' Alive", I think every single person was twirling and grooving like they were 20 years old again!
I am a dancer and ballet, but letās face it, *tutus are my life* - and after experiencing Coalvilleās āTutu Tuesday", I was truly smitten. The sheer enthusiasm, the way people threw themselves into itā¦ it was infectious! This *truly* was an evening to remember.
My fellow dancers and tutu lovers, I have a challenge for you: I challenge you to grab your most flamboyant tutu (because you need at least one!), get a posse of friends together, and go forth and **spread the Tutu Tuesday joy**! #tututuesday.
Now, I must confess, after all that glitter and grooving, my body needed a little R&Rā¦ which is why I'm heading for a little disco dolphin relaxation this evening. (If youāve never tried disco dolphins, youāre missing out!). Whatās a disco dolphin, you ask? Well, Iāll just say it involves a lot of *sparkly sequins, water and sunshine.* ā¦ #discodolphin

Iām sure youāre as surprised as I was. I had absolutely no idea that this unassuming little town had such a penchant for sequins and all things sparkly!
