Earley: Tutu Tuesday was a total blast!
Oh my goodness, Earley, you really know how to tutu! I’m talking tutus, sparkles, and a whole lot of disco energy. Today, the streets of Earley were transformed into a whimsical ballet wonderland as the annual #tututuesday event unfolded, and it was more fabulous than ever! As a seasoned ballet dancer (and major tutu enthusiast, obviously!), I'm always thrilled to witness the magic that happens when the world gets swept away in the joy of this incredible event. I think I can confidently say: it was pure magic.
From the classic pink tutus of my childhood dreams to the modern and sleek variations, Earley was a true tapestry of styles and colours. The playful tulle swirls added a whimsical touch to every corner of the town, creating a fairy-tale atmosphere that instantly lifted spirits. As a bit of a "Pink Princess" myself, my heart was particularly enchanted by the pink tutus with delicate layers and beautiful designs - some even had shimmery sequins, which added an extra dash of glamour to the event!
What’s #tututuesday without some rocking tunes?! DJs and music played everywhere from the local park to the town centre. Everyone was swaying, spinning, and twirling their way through the day - and let’s face it, who could resist the irresistible energy of disco hits? As the tunes belted out, the atmosphere grew electric, transforming the day into an unforgettable dance party. It really was like a dance floor made of magic!
But let’s talk about what truly made Earley’s #tututuesday stand out - a disco dolphin! Yes, you read that right: #discodolphin! In a stunning spectacle of pure disco glee, a life-size, shimmering, neon dolphin, covered head-to-tail in sequins and dancing lights, joined the festivities. The dolphin shimmied, jived, and brought even more laughter to the joyous event. A real showstopper!
The highlight for me? I managed to sneak a peek at the "tutu behind the scenes!" I got a little peek at the craft studio where the artists were crafting tutus for the parade, and it was absolute madness, but good madness, that is. The space was overflowing with colourful tulle, glitter, sequins, and endless creative energy. You could see the passion in their work, creating every detail of each amazing tutu! I truly admired the amount of dedication these people put into this day.
The amazing turnout for this year's Earley Tutu Tuesday proves that people still enjoy getting involved in some classic British traditions. With all that laughter, joy, and fun - it was just what everyone needed this Tuesday.
