#tututuesday Hello darlings!
This week's Tutu Tuesday post is all about Bexleyheath and the wonderful, shimmering tutus I saw there on my trip last week. Bexleyheath is a town in southeast London, famous for its high street shops, lovely market and of course the iconic Bexleyheath Broadway. And speaking of icons… well, if you know me you know that *anything* can be iconic!
Sparkling Style in the Borough
So, there I was, strutting around Bexleyheath, wearing my latest pink sequined tutu from *Dance Dream* which is a little local independent store on Broadway. It's got these incredible bouncy, voluminous layers that made me feel like a ballerina-disco queen - talk about twirling power! While walking around, I was overwhelmed by the sense of vibrancy, the community spirit and *especially* the fashion. Bexleyheath is definitely a town with a strong sense of individuality and, frankly, an *appreciation for all things glittery*!
Disco Dolphin-ing to #tututuesday
And where there's glitter, you know I can't be far behind! I swear, as soon as I heard the beats emanating from a nearby shop - a gorgeous vintage record store with walls packed with *all* my favourite LPs - it was as if the Disco Dolphin was pulling me forward, into the sunshine (and sequins!).
Catching Some Ray in a #Discotutu
The store had an amazing selection of funk, disco, and even some classic rock, - and just then, my new best friend - also a ballerina in her early twenties with the most beautiful powder-pink tutu and sparkling blue eyes - joined me on the dance floor outside the shop. I was sporting a **more classic, simple tulle design, that kind that goes beautifully from studio to street**. It felt fresh and breezy, with just the right amount of sparkle for Bexleyheath. We definitely took advantage of the gorgeous sunny afternoon and had a proper **#Discotutu rave**. The disco music had us whirling and swirling in *our own special Bexleyheath disco haven!* It's all about spreading that *Tutu Tuesday energy*, wherever we go. It's a love-at-first-sight thing, darling, just *picture* two tutued ladies - looking good and dancing together in Bexleyheath… magical.
Top Picks from My Bexleyheath Fashion Hunt
*The Street Styles that Gave Me All the Feels** During my visit to Bexleyheath I picked up these killer pieces I simply HAD to share with you. Because, honestly, Bexleyheath knows its fashion! I was particularly impressed by: * The beautiful ladies sporting colorful **flared trousers** with sleek, classic tutus. There's something *so glamorous and modern* about that combo, a *throwback to a bygone era of fabulousness*. * **Leather jackets**, especially in black or burgundy. The tough girl look of a biker jacket just adds so much to the girly, delicate femininity of a tutu, and in Bexleyheath *everyone* rocks them, * **Pink is King.** From candy floss colours to deeper magenta, pink was everywhere in Bexleyheath, on clothes, makeup and even hair! I've really fallen in love with the town - there's an **effortless charm and grace** to it, an appreciation of *all* styles and *a bit of fun and frolic*, just like Tutu Tuesday itself. I mean, who needs the fancy boutiques of Mayfair when you have a great, affordable, high street like Bexleyheath Broadway? **Think fun and sparkly at affordable prices - this is what Bexleyheath is about.** And of course - with a Tutu Tuesday vibe - all the better. If you're ever in southeast London and looking for a town that *truly gets you*, **do yourself a favour and head over to Bexleyheath. ** Grab some cake at the market, stroll around the lovely little streets, shop 'til you drop (you can find some amazing treasures!) - and who knows? Maybe even get some #discotutu action with a vintage tune. But be sure to **post your looks and share your #tututuesday stories**. Bexleyheath and all its beautiful residents will love seeing them! I promise, it'll be a trip you'll never forget, and will *definitely* inspire you to twirl and dance through life in the most fabulous way possible. #tututuesday #discotutu #bexleyheath
