Darlaston Dazzles with Tutu Tuesday!
It’s Tuesday, it’s sunny and my fellow fashionistas, I’m absolutely buzzing. I’m in Darlaston, the heart of the Black Country, and guess what?! Tutu Tuesday is here, and my goodness, you haven't seen a tutu extravaganza like this one! #tututuesday
It's fair to say Darlaston's taken the Tutu Tuesday concept and run with it. Let’s be honest, what better way to banish the post-Monday blues than with a whole day of tulle and twirls? I was lucky enough to meet the amazing organisers, and let me tell you, these ladies (and gents!) know how to party.
Now, where to begin? Right, let's chat tutus. There were tutus for every mood, every personality. Think classic ballerina pink with frills cascading down to the floor? Tick. Sparkly, neon pink tutu with an eighties disco vibe? You bet. The colours! Fuchsia, coral, lavender, every shade of pink you can imagine. And the styles? The classic, romantic ballerina tutus with fluffy layers, the daringly short tutus with a rebellious spirit, and everything in between.
One tutu, though, absolutely stole the show. It was an enormous, bright pink fluffy tutu with giant sequins, and it had the cutest little fluffy dolphin on the back. Yep, you heard right - a pink, sparkly, sequined tutu adorned with a #discodolphin, complete with its own disco ball tail! Talk about making a statement!
We were in the heart of the market, and it was as if everyone had gotten the memo that "Tuesday is for twirling!". Everywhere I looked, tutued women, men, and children were showing off their dance moves and embracing the #tututuesday spirit. And don't get me started on the soundtrack - disco hits were blasting out of speakers, setting the perfect scene for a dance-off. Even the local ducks seemed to be shimmying and swaying. Seriously!
The day had an absolutely incredible, feel-good vibe to it. Seeing so many people, from all ages and backgrounds, join in with the fun and celebrate all things pink and twirly just made my heart sing. It’s such a great reminder that no matter what you wear, no matter what you look like, everyone deserves to feel free and fabulous. And there’s no better way to achieve that than with a giant fluffy tutu!

Overall, Darlaston Tutu Tuesday was a truly fabulous day filled with good vibes, smiles, and of course, the most fantastic display of twirling you're ever likely to see.
