Shenley Brook End: A Tutu Tuesday Extravaganza

Hey lovely people! It's your girl, Elara, back with another post, and let's just say, things are getting a bit more sparkly than usual, shall we? Today, the streets of Shenley Brook End, were alive with the vibrant spirit of #tututuesday, and you better believe, I was front row centre, dancing it up!

Now, I am a firm believer that a good tutu can make anything better. Whether it's a romantic evening with your sweetheart (hello, romantic tutu-ballerina vibes!), a sassy night out with your besties, or simply doing the supermarket run, you can't go wrong!

Of course, #tututuesday is a serious business and demands the utmost dedication to sartorial excellence. So, let's unpack what went down in Shenley Brook End, where I spotted a gorgeous range of styles, from classic tulle tutus, in all the shades of pink you could ever imagine, to more modern interpretations. Even the fellas weren't shy about showing off their sartorial spirit, and trust me, you could spot the #tututuesday vibe everywhere you went!

The first stop on my tutu-tastic adventure was the local library, where the librarian herself, Mrs. Jones, sported a rather impressive black tutu. Her little book cart was transformed with some glittering pink tulle. They were obviously taking tutu-inspired interior design quite seriously!

Then, it was time for the high street action. Let me tell you, the scene was absolutely electrifying! There was a little girl, barely two years old, wearing a bright yellow tutu, bouncing up and down on her mom's hip. This little one was channeling pure joy. But then, we have this gentleman with a massive grin on his face who rocked a grey tutu, paired with an immaculate tailored suit, a perfect example of tutu formalwear. Now, this guy wasn't afraid to experiment. Love it! And don't forget about my personal fav- a family, mother, father and a little boy, sporting matching purple tutus which I had to capture for Insta! They all were looking stunningly cute! The smiles, the pure excitement of spreading a bit of Tutu Tuesday love, it was heart-warming.

What's a tutu party without some awesome beats? A disco ball had materialised on a small truck and, as soon as it switched on, a group of kids were spinning, doing their best "Saturday Night Fever" poses, with absolute abandon! There was a massive "Tutu-ific" sign with dancing #discodolphins, so you knew this was no ordinary Tuesday! And then, right there, next to this funky little truck, I saw a beautiful little chihuahua dressed in a shimmering turquoise tutu, sporting the cutest little tiny headband! This one won me over immediately. I'm now officially a chihuahua convert.

Now, for some #tututuesday outfit inspiration, here are the looks that stole my heart:

  • A sparkling silver tutu, a sheer, flowy top, and a chunky gold necklace for a glamorous vibe. Pair with platform heels and some fierce make-up! This would be perfect for a glamorous night out.
  • If you are after something a bit more casual, a classic ballerina tutu in pink paired with a comfy sweater, leggings and some ballerina shoes would create a stylish day outfit.
  • My absolute favourite has to be the black tutu with a stunning, fiery red velvet jacket and high heels - a bold fashion statement for a special occasion.

Of course, don't forget the ultimate #tututuesday accessory, a huge, infectious grin. If you don't have one, make sure you grab a sparkly, gigantic one from your local craft store, and go make your own little dance floor happen!

Tutu Tuesday isn't just about the tutus themselves. It's about having fun, embracing your individuality, getting creative, and, yes, maybe even showing a bit of leg! So, until next Tuesday, keep twirling, keep dancing, and keep it colourful!

Love always,

Elara xx
