Hello darlings! It's your girl, Ella, and this week’s Tutu Tuesday was epic! I’ve had my eye on a brand new tutu that just dropped, and let’s just say it did NOT disappoint. This gorgeous pink confection (pink is my favourite colour – don’t @ me!), with its layered tulle and delicate diamante detailing, is simply heavenly.
But let’s get real - Tutu Tuesday in Kensington is NEVER just about the tutu itself. It’s about embracing the magic of self-expression. It’s about throwing on some glittery eye shadow (because disco glam, all day, every day!), a vibrant pink lip, and strutting down Kensington High Street like the fierce goddess you are. And let’s be honest, a fabulous tutu certainly elevates your street style cred, like, majorly. It’s the perfect excuse to let your inner ballerina shine, even if the closest you’ve ever gotten to pirouette is tripping over your own feet (guilty as charged). It's an experience. It's a vibe. It's pure joy, honey!

So, let’s dive into the details, because every good ballerina knows, it’s all about the details, babes. Now, the big event of the week is none other than The Disco Snail's birthday bash. Yes, you read that right, my friends. The Disco Snail – the legendary street snail who rocks out every Tuesday night in Kensington - is celebrating another year of shell-tastic existence. He's the undisputed champion of Kensington, a true trendsetter, the ultimate street style inspiration for any wannabe #discosnail, and this week was his night to shine!
Let’s Get Real – Fashion at its finest
Kensington’s vibe has definitely got some serious swagger these days – the style is on fleek! Let me tell you, everyone was pulling out all the stops this Tutu Tuesday. From the super sleek ballerina buns adorned with pearl-studded headbands (those little details, darlings) to the killer pink lips (matching my new tutu - destiny!) - and of course, the divine tutus – everyone looked ready to make their way to the ballet AND to the dance floor! And trust me, with a crowd of dazzling fashionistas like that, it was absolutely electrifying.
Let's Get Creative:
We had a full spectrum of tutu styles.
- Classy Ballerina – classic white tutu, sleek bun with a tiny pink flower, delicate pearls, and perfect winged eyeliner. Classic with a sassy twist!
- The Pink Dream - (Just like me! Don’t be shy and totally inspired by my fabulous tutu) – pink in every shade from fuchsia to blush, fluffy, romantic and ethereal.
- Disco Goddess - Glitter galore, silver sequins, bold geometric shapes, and plenty of attitude!
- Goth Ballerina – My personal favorite! A classic black tutu but elevated to a new level of cool with some funky lace overlays, statement eye makeup and an edgy vibe - and who better to own it than a queen with fierce confidence.
- Bold & Beautiful - think bright neon pink and playful pom poms. Definitely making a statement on the street. The ultimate expression of carefree spirit!
The beauty of Tutu Tuesday is that it celebrates a shared passion for style, community and expressing ourselves, whether that be through a classical tutu or one totally designed to rock.
