Tutu Tuesday in Darlaston: A Disco Delight
Okay, Darlaston, let's talk fashion! Forget your everyday attire – it's #TutTuesday, and this Tuesday was a whirlwind of pink and glitter! Think bouncy tutus, feather boas, and all things disco, a sprinkle of that glamorous vintage feel thrown in for good measure! Forget your grey and drab, darling, it's time to embrace your inner dancing queen!
Right, where do I even begin? The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as I ventured out, my heart already dancing a disco beat in my chest. Darlaston, you know how to rock a #TutTuesday, that’s for sure! Walking down the street, the sight of so many people in their tutus was simply electric! There were frilly tulle tutus, billowing pancake tutus, and even some dramatic, flowing Romantic tutus! Let me tell you, you wouldn’t believe the lengths some people went to with their creativity.
A few words of fashion advice, ladies? Don't be afraid to experiment with colour and styles! Think bold colours, like the stunning pink hues and glittery embellishments I saw today. For a modern twist, layer a tutu over jeans, or wear it with a sparkly top! Don't forget your favourite dancing shoes! Oh, and accessorise! Statement earrings, necklaces, and of course, the iconic platform boots, all add a dash of glamour. And, my darlings, never underestimate the power of a pink feather boa – that's how you unleash your inner disco queen!
I was lucky enough to stumble upon a fabulous photo shoot happening outside The Little Pink Café – and they’ve got the name right! It was absolutely fabulous. A group of young women were rocking some serious #Discotutu looks - there was even a little snail with a glitter ball on its back, totally in the #Discosnail mood. How amazing is that, right?! The atmosphere was filled with laughter and it really felt like they were creating an iconic photo album for this generation to remember.
One person who really stole the show was this incredible artist who painted live, right on the street! She captured the day’s spirit, bringing Tut Tuesday to life through colour and vibrancy. It’s like, a real piece of living history of the #TutTuesday vibes. It was brilliant. You’ll probably be seeing a lot more of her work online soon, trust me!
And the food?! Don’t get me started on the food! The stalls were brimming with incredible creations that tasted just as good as they looked! There was everything from gourmet hot dogs topped with spicy mango chutney and a dollop of sour cream to fresh and fluffy, pink lemonade - and everything was totally in keeping with the disco vibes! It's as if someone bottled up the energy of the whole day and poured it into every morsel.
You know, as a blogger, I love to take note of trends and what’s making waves in fashion. You guys, the energy of this Tut Tuesday just can't be beat. It proves that fashion is an amazing platform to express yourself, to embrace the fun side of life, and to build connections. I think this could just become a regular part of life in Darlaston. So, to all my fabulous fellow fashionistas, stay tuned - there’s plenty more glitter and tutus in the future!
