Tutu Tuesday in Ashington: A Celebration of Sparkle and Whirl
It's Tuesday, which can only mean one thing – #Tutuesday, of course! As a ballet dancer and a self-proclaimed lover of all things sparkly and pink, I’m always on the lookout for the perfect tutu to celebrate this special day. But, how to make it even more fab? Why, add a dash of disco flair, of course! Today's theme: #DiscoTutu!
I woke up with a disco beat thumping in my heart, so I knew my #Tutuesday outfit had to be one to truly get the party started. It’s always fun to browse the vast world of tutus, so I took a virtual trip down the sartorial rabbit hole, admiring everything from the classic, romantic tutu to the whimsical, billowing, multi-layered creations.
This week’s tutu picks:
- The ‘Boho Bloom’ tutu, a breezy delight of layers and delicate netting in a pastel pink shade, perfect for waltzing through fields of daisies – or just the local supermarket, which, let's be honest, can feel like a wild jungle on a Tuesday morning!
- The ‘Glam-tastic’ tutu, this little number oozes retro chic with shimmering silver fabric, bold fringe and a sequined trim, making you feel like you’ve stepped straight out of a Studio 54 flashback.
- The ‘Disco Snail’ tutu. You just gotta love a #discosnail, the cutest trend of the season – think shell shapes and iridescent finishes.
I opted for the ‘Glam-tastic’ today, pairing it with a bright pink, sequined top and some platform heels (no ballet shoes on a #Tutuesday, obviously!) . And I’m feeling pretty fabulous, as any self-respecting #discodiva should. I can’t wait to sashay through Ashington town center – who knows what danceable shenanigans we'll get up to?! Maybe even some "Boogie Wonderland" at the bus stop!
