I'm in Newton Aycliffe, the heart of County Durham, and it's practically bursting with sequins and tutus. Let's be honest, who doesn't love a good tutu? This classic ballet staple has had a serious style resurgence, and I'm loving every minute of it! #tututuesday Forget boring jeans and t-shirts, my darlings. Speaking of dancing, I couldn't resist popping into the Newton Aycliffe library, where the #discosnail is hosting an epic Tutu Tuesday party! For those of you who are unaware, the Disco Snail is an incredibly stylish and cool snail (they do exist! ) who is renowned for his outrageous disco moves and incredible sense of fashion! The party was in full swing with everyone dressed in their finest tutu creations, swirling and twirling in a vibrant pink whirlwind. I saw everything from classic fluffy pink tutus with delicate bows to edgy black tutus adorned with glittering studs and lace. My favourite had to be a bright purple tulle masterpiece that was paired with a funky, oversized sweater for a look that was both sophisticated and playful. I practically felt a pang of guilt, wishing I had brought my tutu for the party, so maybe that's my first shopping stop! • A Touch of Elegance and Playfulness: Forget what you think a tutu is! It's all about mixing things up. I spotted a chic lady in a beautiful blush-toned tutu, looking effortlessly elegant in her pastel colours. And there was a young girl dressed as a majestic pink flamingo, which was beyond fabulous. It doesn’t exist (yet, but don’t tell the Disco Snail) And I may be biased since I'm a dancer, but let's face it - tutus are the ultimate statement piece!
