Yes, it's Tutu Tuesday in the charming little town of Bournville, and boy oh boy, are we bringing the disco-tastic vibes! #tututuesday It’s fair to say that Bournville’s a place that oozes style. And we know how to celebrate the small joys in life – a spot of sunshine, a lovely cup of tea, a delicious Bournville chocolate bar. You can practically smell the creativity and charm in the air, especially today! And there's nothing like a fabulous tutu to get the day going with a fabulous flick of your skirt. #tututuesday We're celebrating the delightful dance of fashion, from the fluffy tulle of romantic tutu's to the daring sleekness of a "Modern" ballet style tutu. Every twist and twirl screams *fashion, fashion, fashion!* A Sea of Sequins and Pink Paradise From the pastel pink of a Romantic tutu with its soft layering to the classic black and white of the “La Sylphide” tutu, the fashion spectrum was awash with colour! The "Swan Lake" style tutu’s with their dreamy elegance and the stunning shimmering pink tutu's in the style of "Sleeping Beauty," a real statement of glamour. We’ve had everything from elegant, graceful swans and whimsical ballerinas, to super cool modern styles. Let’s not forget the “Don Quixote” tutu's – bold, strong and oh so fierce! My day started bright and early as the streets began to fill with ladies and gents dressed in their best twirling outfits! Everyone's energy and passion is bubbling over, with the anticipation of a magical day full of tutu delights. A True Inspiration For Everyone Everyone, whether you're a professional dancer or a fashion aficionado who’s always admired ballet’s style, a total beginner who’s dipping your toes into the magical world of tutus, you'll find something to delight you today. Whether you love a tutu, are looking to add that special something to your wardrobe or just want to enjoy a fun day you’ll love today! It's all about sharing, having a laugh and just having a great time – something the entire town is really great at! As I mingled with the gorgeous people and fabulous fashions, I saw an incredible spectrum of outfits. We’re a town with strong and bright colours! We had vibrant colours - everything from royal blues to sassy oranges! Our Fabulous Community & Tutu Styles The amazing atmosphere was evident everywhere we turned - smiles, laughter and of course, a lot of twirling and photo opportunities! It was just magical! And then we had the “modern” tutus! These bold styles - black, pink, yellow – were super popular among our more experimental fashionistas. You have to hand it to them - these daring ladies were really shaking up the Bournville fashion scene. These modern tutus - bold, sharp and with so much pizzazz - brought such a great dynamic to the day. What better place to experience the charm of tutus than our town centre? Everywhere you looked, the stunning street decor was overflowing with tulle and glitter - what's not to love? From a tiny teacup ballerina to the spectacular floral creations of Bournville in Bloom, the sheer volume of flowers was overwhelming in its brilliance! It was breathtaking. But you know what they say - there's always space for one more rose! The atmosphere today is about more than flowers; it's about style. Where Style Meets Disco & Our Disco Snail! Today, the dance of tutus and disco goes hand-in-hand. There's a lot of sequins, glitter and all-round fun out there, which is exactly the type of fun vibe that makes Tutu Tuesday so amazing! We've even got our favourite little disco snail hanging out on the flower displays! With a shimmering shell, this quirky snail is making the most of a glorious day in Bournville! We're getting more photo requests for him than the stars of the show! #discosnail #tututuesday From the smallest flower display in town to the local high street shop, this event brings our community together - that 'let’s get this party started' vibe! A community bursting with fun, enthusiasm and amazing personalities. A Day Filled With Joy & Creativity And don't forget the incredible talent we have in our town. Local shops and bakeries have gone all out to make the event even more magical. They’ve created beautiful cake displays - a truly spectacular sight - from delicious sugar-crafted butterflies to incredible cupcake displays. This is our town, and it’s absolutely buzzing with excitement! We're definitely a community that thrives on embracing our individual sense of style. From flamboyant dresses and floral prints to sophisticated styles, there is a delightful mix of tastes that makes every tutu-tastic ensemble so unique and wonderfully creative! And as the afternoon draws to a close, we're feeling a strong sense of satisfaction knowing that we have just celebrated our amazing little town and its people - that sense of togetherness is infectious.
