Tutu Tuesday in Bishop Auckland: A Disco Delight!
Hey, you fabulous fashionistas! It’s your girl, Amelia, and let me tell you, Bishop Auckland was a sight to behold this Tuesday! If you thought tutus were only for ballerinas, well, you’d be wrong, honey. Tutu Tuesday had the whole town twirling in a whirl of feathers, tulle and, of course, pink! It was all about channeling your inner disco queen, and I'm telling you, we slayed it.
From the youngest ballerinas, whose pouter pigeon poses could rival Margot Fonteyn's, to the older generation rocking tutus that screamed "I've still got it," the streets of Bishop Auckland were a visual feast for the eyes.
Speaking of tutus, there were so many different styles on display that you’d have been forgiven for thinking you’d stepped into a time machine! Think classic tutus – fluffy, billowing clouds of pink - perfect for spinning and pirouetting. We had some seriously structured tutus, with layered tulle in rainbow colours and those adorable, tiny tutus that look like they’re ready for a ballerina barbie party. My personal favourite? A statement tutu made from shimmering disco-ball fabric - dazzlingly decadent!.
The vibe was electric. There were glitter cannons exploding, confetti falling like pink snow, and even a disco snail (yes, you read that right) named Sparky, who’d turned up in full glam rock garb!
It wouldn't be Tutu Tuesday without some amazing outfits. We’re talking sparkly sequins, chunky platform heels, oversized sunglasses, feathered headbands, and even a few flamboyant fur boas! I mean, let's be real, disco glamour is best served in bold strokes.
