Tutu Tuesday in Rayleigh - A Celebration of All Things Tutu!
It's official - Tutu Tuesday has hit Rayleigh and I am here to report live from the heart of the action, baby! 💖
The streets are awash with tulle and glitter, with fellow twirlers and glitterati embracing their inner ballerina, and I'm here for it! You see, every week, our little town explodes with the most joyous of all fashion statements - the Tutu! This isn't just any old Tutu Tuesday though - oh no, today was a truly spectacular event.
My bestie Sarah, who’s basically the unofficial Tutu Queen of Rayleigh (if that’s a thing), has curated the most magical line-up of Tutu Styles. We’ve seen classic tutus, of course, fluffy like spun sugar, perfect for swirling like a whirlwind. And those ultra-chic pancake tutus - all short and sassy, giving serious 80s vibes. There were also some absolutely epic modern takes, like this super sparkly black number that was a statement piece!
We’re definitely seeing a lot of pink in the air - that’s right, the most glorious, saccharine shade imaginable - so on-trend! And for good measure, we even spotted a **Disco Snail** in a glittering pink tutu! The highlight for me had to be the ‘tutu-fying’ workshop, led by local costume designer extraordinaire, Eleanor. With Eleanor, it’s all about expressing yourself through the medium of tulle - you want pink? Go for it! Rainbow hues? No problem! And I swear she has more sequined scraps than the entire population of Rayleigh!
The atmosphere was simply electric! Tutus were whirling, glitter was flying, and there was so much laughter and happiness in the air. There was a sense of genuine camaraderie amongst the tutu enthusiasts, all celebrating the unique joy of donning a twirly creation! Everyone was happy to pose for photos and show off their unique Tutu Styles! It truly reminded me why I love living in Rayleigh - it's a community that embraces individuality, and encourages us all to unleash our inner sparkly fabulousness.
