Sutton Tutu Tuesday: A Day of Disco Dreams!
Okay, darlings, let's talk #tututuesday! I am beyond excited to report on the absolutely glorious day I had yesterday, twirling and glittering in Sutton! I have always adored a good Tutu Tuesday, and yesterday was truly a fabulous spectacle. The #discosnail, my disco ball adorned, iridescent snail pet, was also in tow, adding a touch of glitz and glamour to the whole affair.
It all started with a beautiful pink pouf. That's right, I kicked off the day sporting my go-to pouf tutu – the most delightful blend of romantic femininity and dramatic volume. Just picture it – layers upon layers of the most exquisite pink tulle, all perfectly fitted around the hips and cascading to my knees. Think of all those iconic ballerinas of the past. Yes, that's the style I channel on these special occasions, adding a pop of confidence with a glittery crop top for that disco-inspired look.
As I ambled down the bustling high street, a charming group of fellow tutu enthusiasts, a symphony of colourful tulle, caught my eye. Imagine – vibrant red, shimmering gold, and dazzling turquoise! There were even a few women wearing dramatic variations on the classical ballerina-style tutu, the layers and layers of tulle reaching practically to their toes, adding a bit of theatrical extravagance to the street.
As we shared smiles and twirls, a truly magnificent sight, we attracted attention everywhere we went. People were beaming and waving – it truly felt like everyone wanted to celebrate the simple joy of a tutu. It was heartwarming, you know? A little bit of lighthearted fun to brighten the day. I am so thankful for those lovely ladies!
Now, what can I say about my own choice of costume for this particular Tutu Tuesday? It wouldn't be a proper celebration without a little sparkle, would it? People were stopping by the street cafe we were gathered at - tutu-less ladies just dancing along to disco tunes and shouting “You go girls!" And they all joined in with a joyous wave or a high-five for us!
