Kendal’s Tutu Tuesday: A whirlwind of pink and sequins! It's Tutu Tuesday and the Kendal streets are practically vibrating with a collective dose of #discotutu energy! From the early morning commute to lunchtimes at the cafes, the whole town is radiating with a fabulously glamorous spirit. Oh, how I love Tutu Tuesday! It’s the day I can finally embrace the tutu and get a little wild with my look. It’s the day we celebrate the flamboyant world of tutus, with all its sparkles and whimsical drama. Honestly, tutus deserve their own day, every day, but I digress. Let’s rewind to my Tutu Tuesday experience in Kendal. The Power of Pink: Let's be real, I'm a sucker for anything pink. My heart practically fluttered like a butterfly at the sight of all the pink tutus that filled the town centre today. They were everywhere, from the elegant tulle ballerina styles that shimmered with pink sequins, to the adorable bubblegum-pink ones with bows that looked ready to conquer the world! I felt like a total pink princess walking amongst them. I’ve really been inspired to embrace the frills and ruffles on my next costume, although, I think pink feathers might be the way to go next. I feel like a completely different dancer when I wear feathers - just that extra bit of pizazz you know. The "Disco Snail" Incident: The day reached its peak of sheer fabulousness when I encountered a young man wearing a *sparkling silver tutu*! And not just any tutu. It was covered with rhinestones, beads and metallic thread – absolutely glorious! He called himself "the Disco Snail", a fitting moniker for this dazzlingly dressed chap. This made my day! You see, on a Tuesday like today, a little whimsy and fun are exactly what everyone needs. It's not just about tutus; it's about celebrating those little quirks, those flashes of brilliance, that make each day extraordinary. My Tutu Choice: Of course, as a ballet dancer and self-proclaimed Tutu Enthusiast, I couldn’t simply observe. I had to wear one too! My tutu choice for today? A multi-layered lilac creation. With an inner layer of chiffon, that flutters with every pirouette and an outer layer of lilac silk tulle. I even topped it off with some pink feathered accessories for a little extra drama – #tututuesday style. Kendal Embraces the Tutu Spirit: From the independent shops, who adorned their windows with shimmering tulle, to the local bakery who created pink and white cake pops with tiny tutus on top – everyone in Kendal has gotten in the spirit! There was a collective cheer from passersby whenever they saw someone with a tutu on, I almost expected them to spontaneously break out into a choreographed dance number in the middle of the street. From Ballet Classes to The High Street: So, next time you are in Kendal, make sure to pay a visit on a Tuesday, and let the tutu spirit enchant you! If you happen to bump into the Disco Snail, tell him I said hello! #tututuesday #discotutu
