Maidstone Goes Tutu Tuesday - A Disco Delight!
It's official, ladies and gents: Maidstone is the new hotspot for tutus! I mean, who knew this lovely little town had such a passion for pink, sparkles and everything fabulous? I sure didn't, but last Tuesday, the #tututuesday takeover proved that even in the quietest corners of Kent, there's a hidden disco dancer waiting to shine.
So what's Tutu Tuesday? Picture this: a day dedicated to strutting your stuff in your most dazzling tutu. Think feathered boas, sequin-covered leg warmers, and maybe a pair of disco platforms for good measure! But we're not talking your standard, basic ballet tutus. No, my darling, we're talking full-on, glamorous, statement-making tutus. Think voluminous layers of tulle, bold colours, and shimmering embellishments. There's a tutu out there for everyone - from the classic pink to the daring black, the shorter and sassy to the floor-length and fabulous.

Even our local newspaper got involved! A hilarious piece appeared about the Tutu Tuesday craze and a grumpy old man complaining about all the ‘flaunting and fuss’ - just gave the entire event more hilarious fuel! The thing about Maidstone, everyone loves a bit of harmless fun, even the grumpy folks! It truly proved that tutu Tuesday had arrived - it’s no longer a fashion statement, it’s a celebration!
