Tutu Tuesday in Boston: A Pink-tastic Adventure!

Alright, darlings! It's officially Tutu Tuesday, and I'm so excited to share with you my pink-tastic adventure in the heart of Boston. It was a whirlwind of tutus, disco, and even a sprinkle of disco snail magic!

The day started with me getting ready to make a statement, naturally. A full-length pink tutu - because more fabric equals more fun! This one was a classic princess shape with the fluffiest layers of tulle you've ever seen, and honestly, who wouldn't feel like a fairy princess in this masterpiece?

Then, it was time to hit the streets, and Boston truly embraced me in its Tutu Tuesday glory! I felt a true sense of camaraderie. The other tutu wearers were an absolute delight, from vintage tutus to the modern ones with those extra-fluffy poufs of tulle. We all looked like a beautiful ballet "en pointe" celebration, just floating around and sharing a smile that sparkled as bright as a disco ball.

There was a particular group of girls who wore the most fabulous pencil skirts that really stole the show, They're the modern "fashion-forward" types who prove you don't have to stick to a traditional tutus to make a tutu statement. And the colours! The fuchsia and bright cherry reds - absolute heaven for a pink girl like myself.

Here are some of the hot spots I checked out. The Boston Public Gardens. Oh, the energy! It was like a flash mob of ballet-themed cheerfulness, all in tutus of different shades of pink. So whimsical!

And I don't even want to start talking about the coffee shops, oh, my! It's an unspoken rule of tutu Tuesday that you simply *have* to order a latte. I paired mine with the cutest little pink macaroon (the bakery was called “Tutu Sweets”!)

Now, no tutu Tuesday can be complete without a little disco. My friend Sarah (a tutu enthusiast just like me!), knew just where we needed to go. To "The Groove." It's this hidden underground club where people actually still know how to really disco dance. No cringey millennial awkward dancing, just a celebration of that 70s feel.

We danced our hearts out. Sarah did the '80s side flip – seriously, she did that dance thing, you know, the shoulder roll. I'm still trying to figure that out. But when it comes to disco, I think my "ballet swan arms" really elevated the moves - like I'm always so gracefully holding those tutus, the body naturally falls into the right place when I dance. I have the best of both worlds, I tell you!

Speaking of disco... We stumbled upon the cutest little snail – like the tiniest little snail I've ever seen. And the funny thing is, it was covered in sparkles, glitter, and... disco balls. I've always been a fan of magical realism, but this was just too magical even for me! I even took a few snaps to add it to my "disco snail" collection.

So, darlings! Boston, you certainly proved you're a "tutu-lover"!

  • Remember to wear your most comfortable shoes.
  • Don't forget your pink! (Pink everything is good - hair bows, shoes, lip gloss)
  • Embrace the disco snail! If you're lucky, you'll spot one too.

Remember, it’s not just a Tuesday - it’s #Tututuesday!

Let's get ready to groove! And if you are reading this, I highly recommend a pink sparkly tutu. Just don't forget your tutus to get ready for the disco snail – you can just call me "The Disco Snail Whisperer!"

Stay glamorous and remember, #Tututuesday in Boston is something we should make a regular thing! Let's #Discotutu the world!
