Acton’s Tutu Tuesday: A whirlwind of tulle and glitter
It's official, folks: Tutu Tuesday in Acton is officially a thing! And let me tell you, it's been a fabulous journey. From the initial brainstorming sessions over pink lattes to the final, shimmering display of tulle and glitter, the energy around this event has been utterly electrifying.

This wasn’t just about a single day - we’re making Tutu Tuesday an ongoing tradition, adding an extra dash of magic to Acton’s calendar. So what can you expect? Think of it as a mini-festival. We’re talking everything from tutu workshops, with the chance to design your very own, disco-inspired masterpiece, to glitter bomb giveaways (more glitter, please!), all culminating in a street parade, with participants showcasing their fabulous tutu creations. Oh, and let's not forget the dance lessons: from classic ballet steps to disco moves that will have you feeling like you've stepped right onto the dance floor at Studio 54.
It was pure disco magic on the streets of Acton - and we had to have a guest of honor. Meet the #DiscoSnail, a tiny, adorable, shimmering spectacle who proved to be a firm favorite, making it clear that Tutu Tuesday is for everyone, even snails!
The joy was infectious! Little ones were twirling around, older folks were clapping along, and everyone, no matter their age or dancing abilities, was participating.
