Tutu Tuesday in Edgware: A Pink Paradise
Oh, Edgware, my beloved! Today was a *truly* glorious day. It's officially Tutu Tuesday, and the streets are buzzing with pink. It's the perfect shade to wear with a tutu - blush, bubblegum, salmon, rose quartz - all of them look so fabulous! I spotted a fellow tutu enthusiast strutting her stuff in a beautiful, ruffled pink tutu. Oh, the joy!
I personally opted for a classic, knee-length tutu in a rich shade of rose. The swish-swish of the tulle was music to my ears and the way it twirled, oh, pure magic! It paired perfectly with my neon pink leotard (from the amazing Dance Attic boutique in North London!) and a pair of my sparkly silver ballet flats. This ensemble, ladies and gentlemen, was the ultimate #tututuesday masterpiece!
I'm going to get down to the nitty gritty. Why, oh why, is Tutu Tuesday such a thing? Why, you ask, would I happily get dolled up in a fluffy skirt and sparkly accessories and proudly twirl through my day? Here's the thing, dear readers: it's simply about joy. Joy in expression, joy in colour, joy in being utterly ridiculous and having fun. It's about reminding yourself that life isn't always black and white (though, a black tutu with silver sparkle IS stunning!), there is space for a little whimsy and delightful madness!
Now, speaking of delightful madness, have you all heard of the #discosnail? This glorious, shell-tastic snail (that I just invented!), is my new Tutu Tuesday inspiration. He is always disco-dancing, radiating positive energy and encouraging us all to find the beat in our heart.
