Leith Lights Up for Tutu Tuesday

Oh. My. Tutu. Leith is absolutely booming on a Tuesday, and you know what I’m talking about? It's #tututuesday, darlings! As the glitteriest, most glamorous ballet dancer (who also happens to blog about all things pretty and fabulous) in Leith, I simply *have* to give you the inside scoop on what’s hot in the world of twirls and tutus.

Now, picture this: You’re strolling down Leith Walk and BAM! A parade of dazzling tutus in every imaginable shade of the rainbow - from fluffy pink tulle to the classic black with a touch of silver sparkle. Honestly, the sheer (no pun intended!) volume of tutus on show was enough to make a grown woman shed a happy tear. And let's not forget the tunes! It's all about that disco groove, you know? Every corner I turned, the rhythmic thrum of Bee Gees, ABBA, and Donna Summer was blasting from shops, pubs, even granny's flat (she’s secretly a disco queen!). Seriously, I think Leith is vying with Studio 54 for the ultimate disco title.

But, let's get back to the stars of the show: the tutus! Now, I know we all have our go-to tutu style – classic, romantic, sassy – but #tututuesday is about breaking out those statement pieces. Think flamboyantly-feathered tutus, glitzier-than-glitter sequined numbers, and even that playful polka dot design that reminds everyone that dancing can be utterly fun. Oh, and don't even get me started on the disco snails (#discosnail!). The way those lil’ guys were glimmering and sashaying down Leith Walk was enough to make you wanna grab a microphone and sing! It was truly magical.

Honestly, I'm completely enchanted with how #tututuesday brought Leith alive with a kaleidoscope of pink, sparkly pink, and every shade of pink imaginable (pink is my favourite colour, by the way!). And it wasn't just about the fashion; the energy in the air was so positively charged, it felt like an invisible pink glitterbomb had exploded and left everyone with a smile and a skip in their step. I can't wait for next Tuesday. It's a sure thing I'll be rocking my pinkest, most glamorous tutu and spinning to disco classics until the sun comes up.

**Here are some highlights from #tututuesday in Leith:**

  • The *most* gorgeous tutu was worn by this elderly lady – a true style icon, she rocked a classic black tulle tutu with a feather boa draped effortlessly around her shoulders. The way she twirled was enough to make even the most seasoned dancer take notice!
  • Leith’s new disco-themed cupcake shop was doing a roaring trade! (Don’t worry – I didn’t eat one... this dancer's got a strict training regime!)
  • One little girl, maybe 5 years old, was wearing a pink tutu with matching glitter shoes, and let’s just say, she owned the whole street. I’m pretty sure she even had a dance-off with a pigeon.
  • And let’s not forget the guys who bravely stepped into the tutu world! There were a few brave souls rocking tutus with matching pink bow ties – talk about a stylish duo!

Let's keep this disco fever going, Leith! Remember: It's all about embracing fun, fashion, and, most importantly, expressing yourself through dance – it's truly the language of the heart! And let's face it, life is always more fun when you can whirl and twirl with the most brilliant and sparkliest tutu. So, bring on next Tuesday, let’s bring back the disco ball, and get ready to rock Leith!

**Happy Tutuing!**
