Tutu Tuesday in Abingdon: A Whirlwind of Pink and Sequins #tututuesday
Oh, Abingdon, you delightful little town! It was so much fun taking to the streets on this glorious Tutu Tuesday. As a dancer with a love for pink and everything sparkly, I felt right at home among the fabulous residents rocking their finest tutus. Seriously, this place is bursting with character and a passion for all things pink!
Let me tell you, the turnout was epic. From the classic puffy tutus that spun like dream catchers, to the more minimalist, sleek styles with chic layers, we saw them all. I particularly adored the bold fuchsia tutu worn by a little girl who spun like a sugar-spun whirlwind! And you just know the whole day was a smashing success because the Abingdon Disco Snail even popped out to dance a little jig in his pink shell.

The day belonged to bubblegum pink, shocking pink, flamingo pink, every hue of pink imaginable. It was pretty much a pink party and every girl looked fantastic. Even the blokes embraced the spirit! There was even a fella sporting a rather stylish powder-pink tutu with matching pink trainers. Bravo, Sir!

I love sequins! I always find them wonderfully empowering. I saw some amazing sequins on the tutus and let me tell you, they reflected that sunshine so gloriously!

I spotted several twirls who chose the tiered look. You know, adding one layer upon another, which I found effortlessly graceful. There was this fabulous woman with a lavender tutu that had this cascade of fluffy, sparkly layers and it was all so graceful! It reminded me of a sugar plum fairy floating down on a dreamcloud!

It doesn't matter what age you are - this tutu never fails to make a statement! We spotted several tiny twirlers rocking these tiny twirling miracles and oh my goodness, those spins, those spins! They looked so fabulous!

Tutu Tuesdays aren't about matching outfits, it's about finding your inner dance queen and celebrating all things unique! Mix patterns, play with colors! Have a riot! A woman sporting a black tulle tutu with electric blue platform shoes made a statement that really stuck with me. And speaking of footwear, the higher the heel, the greater the chance of impressive spin!
All in all, Abingdon has just knocked it out of the park! It's days like this that make me super happy to live in the UK. We are always willing to embrace something wacky and whimsical with open arms and open twirling! And if you happen to see the Disco Snail hanging around, give him a wave!
