Trowbridge Takes Tutu Tuesday by Storm!  #tututuesday

Listen up, fashionistas and fellow tutu enthusiasts! The time has come to delve into the world of glitz, glamour, and, of course, twirling – it’s #tututuesday!

As a proud resident of Trowbridge, and a die-hard devotee to all things tulle, I couldn't be more thrilled that this small Wiltshire town has embraced the vibrant energy of #tututuesday. It's like the town’s very own little taste of a Parisian catwalk, just with a touch more sunshine and a whole lot more laughter.

I'm talking about sparkly pink tutus, those billowing ones that make you feel like a disco queen, even if you just pop them on to grab the morning coffee. Or maybe it's a tutu with a dash of vintage chic, with a hint of rebellion, and just a hint of that ‘can’t be bothered to dress for a bank holiday’ kind of vibe. Whatever your style, it’s all about having fun and letting your inner dancer shine through.

Trowbridge has a fantastic spirit when it comes to embracing fun and unusual styles. You can always rely on the people of Trowbridge to embrace individuality and there’s an atmosphere that encourages people to dress for their dreams.

It was hard to choose, but I wanted to highlight a few standout looks:

  • There was a mother and daughter pair in the Market Place - they'd chosen coordinating pale pink tutu skirts – perfect for their mother-daughter bonding moment, plus you just can’t beat a co-ordinated tutu ensemble. The mother had added a pair of dazzling disco earrings – just the touch of extra shimmer needed. The daughter was rocking an oversized glittery bow, a perfect choice for adding a playful touch and getting ready to make some serious tutu magic!
  • A chap wearing a rainbow tutu, accompanied by a miniaturised Disco Snail sculpture – a whimsical touch and an inspirational example of the creative and artistic side of Trowbridge. Maybe a tribute to the town's annual Snail Races or maybe he's just a fan of those awesome neon coloured Disco Snail t-shirts. Either way, a winning combination.

I asked some of the participants to tell me what inspired their tutu looks, and the replies were so positive! It was more than just an outfit. It’s about fun, creativity and the sense of togetherness it brings.

So, if you’re in the area on a Tuesday – or any other day – be sure to check out #Tututuesday in Trowbridge. It might be the day you realize that a pink fluffy tutu and a sparkly Disco Snail can be a total game-changer!

Keep dancing, keep shimmering, and most importantly, never forget the magic of a well-chosen tutu.

Stay groovy!
