Hanwell Tutu Tuesday: A Disco Dream in Pink!

Okay, my lovelies, buckle up because Tutu Tuesday just got a whole lot sparklier! Hanwell, you know how much I adore a good tutu – they're practically my second skin. But today was something special, a whirlwind of sequins and swishy skirts that left me feeling like I could pirouette all the way to the moon and back (with a disco ball on my head, of course).

As soon as I stepped off the train (did anyone else witness the chaotic ballet of rush hour commuters?), I felt the buzz of Tutu Tuesday energy. A wave of pink (my favourite!) tutu-clad souls, all radiating happiness and fabulousness, swept through Hanwell, making it the most delightful, sparkly-tutu-filled little town this side of the Thames. Seriously, even the pigeons seemed to be tap-dancing with excitement. I spotted all sorts of styles – fluffy, feathered, layered, short, long – you name it, Hanwell had it. I saw some absolute stunners: a delicate tulle cloud tutu (perfect for a gentle waltz), a bold and sparkly black-and-gold number (made for a disco ball showdown), and a surprisingly sophisticated (yet sassy!) grey tutu with just the right amount of pink embellishment (a truly modern masterpiece).

My personal Tutu Tuesday highlight was meeting a woman who called herself "Disco Snail." She was an absolute legend! Her shell (because it was a real snail, not a human wearing a costume, although I do love a good cosplay moment!) was a dazzling disco ball, reflecting every shade of the rainbow. Her tutu? It was a magnificent fusion of every colour in the spectrum, as though every single glitter-loving, disco-loving dream in the universe had been sewn onto it. And let me tell you, it looked absolutely amazing. She truly captured the spirit of Tutu Tuesday, the joy of expressing yourself through fabulous outfits, and a bit of playful nonsense – it was just so refreshing!

But you know me, I always bring the heat, so I obviously rocked a tutu of my own! Let’s just say it involved plenty of blush pink, layers of tulle, and a delicate smattering of silver glitter. The key is to add a touch of elegance with some understated sparkles, you know, make it *chic*. I paired my masterpiece with a pink silky shirt, a delicate necklace (that, by the way, I have named after a famous ballet dancer - don't worry, I'll let you know all about it on my blog!), and my favourite black pointed pumps (you can’t forget the heels! It’s all about striking that perfect balance between playful and powerful).

Tutu Tuesday was everything I'd hoped for – fun, colourful, and full of personality. So, a massive shoutout to the town of Hanwell! You know how to celebrate a good tutu, that’s for sure. #Tututuesday is truly living its best life!

And if you missed out on Hanwell's Tutu Tuesday, don't worry, there's always next week. But get those tutus ready! We're talking shimmering sequins, fluffy tulle, and all the glitz and glamour you can handle! Now go on and tell me – what's your dream tutu look like? And which shade of pink is your favourite? Let's chat!

And remember, lovelies, a little bit of pink and a whole lot of tulle can make the world a more beautiful, magical place! Don't be afraid to get out there and rock it! #Tututuesday #discotutu

Let’s talk tutus! What kind of tutu would you wear on #tututuesday?

Here are some of my faves:

  • The Romantic Ballerina: Delicate tulle in pastel colours, maybe with a little bit of lace. Dreamy and ethereal!
  • The Bold and Glamorous: Sparkling sequins, lots of layers of tulle, a touch of drama!
  • The Classic Swan Lake: Crisp white tulle, perfect for spinning and leaps (maybe a swan feather accent for a touch of drama). It's so chic!
  • The Funky and Modern: Play with colours, patterns, and even textures – think denim, feathers, or leather. Get creative!

And a big shoutout to Disco Snail – you’re the Tutu Tuesday hero! 🐌🕺🏼🤩 #discosnail
