Frome: Tutu Tuesday takes the town by storm!
Well, my fellow fashionistas, it’s official – Frome has become the undisputed capital of Tutu Tuesday! Every week, the streets of this charming little Somerset town come alive with a kaleidoscope of twirling tutus and vibrant pink, transforming Frome into a bona fide fashion wonderland. This week, the Tutu Tuesday turnout was spectacular! It’s so exciting to see the town embraced this whimsical celebration of everything tutus – from classic ballerina styles to audacious, modern masterpieces.
Spotting a real diversity of Tutu Styles
I spotted an array of incredible designs that were definitely giving me major dance-floor envy! We’ve got your traditional puffy tutus – those tulle delights that were born to twirl. We saw elegant ballet tutus, ahem, for those wanting a refined look. And of course, we can’t forget those cheeky and modern tutus. Those creations – think layered with neon tulle for that avant-garde statement – just fabulous! Some even chose to mix and match tulle fabrics.

This amazing Frome tradition started, believe it or not, from the #disco snail, a gloriously kitsch fashion icon. Every Tuesday, locals adorned in tutus and glitter have flooded the town centre. The whole vibe is a disco paradise, bringing joy and a sprinkle of sparkle into everyone's day. This week, we were delighted by an amazing group who performed "Stayin' Alive" - perfect disco-themed routine. It brought the iconic vibe of the #discosnail.
