Shenley Brook End: Tutu Tuesday Brings Out the Glitter
Well, darlings, it’s been another fabulously sparkly week in the land of tutu-clad glamour and today, Tuesday, I’m off to celebrate Tutu Tuesday in Shenley Brook End! As you all know, #tututuesday is my favourite day of the week because it’s all about spreading a little pink-tinted joy and celebrating all things twirly, fluffy, and utterly fabulous. But before we get to the Shenley Brook End festivities, let me tell you a bit about the #tututuesday look!
The Tutu Tuesday Style Files
Honestly, when it comes to tutus, there’s a style for everyone! Don't be shy, embrace your inner ballerina, disco diva, or even mischievous fairytale princess. Whether it’s a classic romantic tulle creation for a more sophisticated look, or a sassy and bright tutu, like the iconic Cinder-ellas, #tututuesday is the perfect day to express your personality. Even something a little bit sassy with a multicoloured design could add an extra pop of fun.
Don’t forget the essential accessories!
- A good pair of heels, kitten or platform depending on your mood.
- Sparkly headbands for an extra dash of glamour.
- If you want to really embrace the fairytale vibes, get yourself a fairy wand – we are talking magic sparkle!
- Add in a fun bag in pink or hot pink – maybe one of those cute ones you find in a charity shop. Just remember big handbags tend to not go well with tutus.
- And remember, all that dancing requires plenty of hydration so always carry a sparkly water bottle! I prefer my water bottle pink or with glitter. You've got to stay hydrated with all that dancing!
Shenley Brook End: Tutu Tuesday Madness!
As always, Shenley Brook End is kicking off Tutu Tuesday in a big way with the legendary "Disco Snail" competition. Don't let the name fool you; this snail, affectionately named 'Barry' (the competition is open to snails of all names and shell styles), is more fabulous than a sequined disco ball. This is all about showing off those impressive slime-trailing moves in front of an audience of enthusiastic judges and fellow snail fans. With prize awards for most entertaining performance, best costume (including sequins!) and fastest slime-trail.
I, of course, have my sparkly pink tutu and wand at the ready and I’m bringing my favourite disco playlist for a good old fashioned singalong. Let’s bring on the disco vibes, folks! Get ready to twirl and strut your stuff at this exciting annual event and join in on all the tutu-tastic fun, with live music by the talented "Sugar Pop” and, for the lucky winners, fantastic prizes. Who will be the lucky snail to claim this year’s title? We will all know soon enough. There's no point standing around looking serious - grab a fellow tutu fan and lets dance. #tututuesday
