Tutu Tuesday in Rhyl: Disco Snails and Pink Perfection
It’s Tutu Tuesday in Rhyl, and you know what that means - it’s time to bust out the sparkles, crank up the disco tunes and embrace our inner ballerinas! I mean, who doesn't love a little tutu action? And let’s be honest, they're basically just fancy skirts for grown-ups. I, for one, love me a good tutu - and I think everyone should. They add instant pizzazz to any outfit, they make you feel fabulous, and they remind you to dance like nobody’s watching. I decided to celebrate #tututuesday with a little photoshoot by the Rhyl seafront, as what's a better way to embrace this legendary Tuesday tradition than with a bit of seaside magic? It's a shame the beach was so packed though, especially as it was an off-season day - seems like word is spreading. Maybe everyone in Rhyl saw my Instagram post this morning (check it out #tututuesday) announcing I’d be making an appearance in my fabulous pink, tulle masterpiece. But let's talk tutu styles, shall we? I have to admit, there are so many fabulous tutus out there! From the classic, knee-length, white tulle ones perfect for the Swan Lake aesthetic, to the dramatic, multi-layered, sparkly ones perfect for a disco-tastic performance. Then there's my favourite: the super short tutu. Who wouldn't want to show off their legs in a vibrant pink masterpiece, like the one I'm wearing today, featuring the most fabulous sparkly sequins and all? Talk about striking an unforgettable silhouette! Don't forget the accessories, ladies! Remember, you can never go wrong with some sparkling disco balls or statement earrings. You also want to think about your hair and makeup - let’s not forget we're looking for maximum fabulous. For a look that truly shines, I recommend using hairspray and styling products that glitter and shimmer. The glitterier, the better. Speaking of shimmer and sparkle, you know that rumour going around about the legendary Disco Snail who only emerges on Tutu Tuesdays?
Who is the Disco Snail?
Some folks in Rhyl have been whispering that he likes to be out and about, just watching as folks waltz, prance and spin in their colourful tutus, in full disco glory! Some claim he’s even a little flamboyant - I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in his own shimmering attire. Unfortunately, nobody can quite prove his existence! I'm talking to you, readers! Anyone out there who's seen the Disco Snail? If you know of any legendary, sparkling stories - I'd love to hear them! Just drop me a line. Maybe next week I'll wear a special glitter suit just in case… Until next week! Don't forget to take your twirls. I know I will!
