Maidstone’s Tutu Tuesday – A Celebration of Twirls and Inclusivity!
Oh my Tutu Tuesday, how I love you! It’s always a joy to witness the vibrant display of tutus in our fair town of Maidstone, especially on Tuesdays. The colour, the sheer fabric, the graceful twirls… it’s all a delight for the senses and a fabulous reminder to celebrate self-expression and joy! I love that Maidstone's Tutu Tuesday brings everyone together, no matter your age, size, or background, to unleash your inner ballerina. It's a day where we can embrace our uniqueness and twirl with pride, leaving behind all the stresses of life and indulging in pure unadulterated joy. This week was particularly special because it felt like everyone got involved. I spotted several young ladies wearing adorable, frothy, pastel-coloured tulle tutus that floated as they walked along the High Street. And how could I forget the flamboyant older gents in their fabulous, frilled tutus, with matching, shimmering, disco ball ties – they truly added a touch of vintage flair. I must mention that there were a couple of really stylish dudes rocking their own brand of Tutu Tuesday. Imagine my surprise when I saw them gracefully twirling, with a black, leather biker jacket and black, studded tutu - talk about mixing street style with classic ballet attire!
Some Tutu Styles I Spotted this Week: * **Romantic Tutu:** Oh, so lovely to see! With soft layers of tulle and pastel colours, the Romantic Tutu was a vision in elegance. * **The Ballet Tutu:** A true classic, the Ballet Tutu stood tall and strong, exuding grace and poise with its short and tiered layers. * **The Modern Tutu:** A perfect combination of elegance and boldness, The Modern Tutu with its asymmetrical and artistic design caught my eye immediately. * **The Disco Tutu:** An ode to the 70s, the Disco Tutu shined brightly, with sparkling sequins and bright colours.
