Tutu Tuesday in Hornchurch: A Celebration of Sparkle, Sass and Pride

It's your girl, Lily Rose, back with another dazzling blog post about my favourite day of the week - Tutu Tuesday! This week, we're taking it to the streets of Hornchurch, Essex, to celebrate all things pink, fabulous and tutu-tastic.
Now, if you're thinking tutus are just for ballerinas, think again! They're the perfect embodiment of a fun, carefree and powerful statement piece for anyone and everyone! It's all about that confidence and owning your inner glitter. Just like a rainbow, we're all different and fabulous in our own unique way! This Tuesday is a celebration of that glorious individuality, whatever your shape, size, style, or anything else that makes you uniquely you. Because when it comes to tutus, it's about wearing what makes you feel confident and good!
As a lover of all things pink and sparkly, you'd know I was already a hardcore tutu fan before #tututuesday even became a thing! I've got a whole wardrobe full of these little tulle miracles, from classic ballerina-style tutus in a soft, shimmering pink to the dramatic, oversized tutus in bright, bold colours, with feathers and frills. This week's pick is a vintage, pale pink, romantic tutu. It's classic and chic, the perfect complement to a day of sassy fun!
But it's not all about the wardrobe - Tutu Tuesday is also about embracing community, especially in our glorious LGBTQ+ community. That’s why, I'm kicking things off this Tuesday in Hornchurch's fabulous little town centre, right outside the iconic Rainbow Cafe, a local gem where the coffee is as warm and welcoming as the atmosphere! Join me at 12 pm as we paint the town pink, dance to disco tunes, and spread joy and rainbow sprinkles everywhere!
So, how do you rock a Tutu Tuesday like a pro? Here are some quick tips from yours truly, to unleash the ultimate confidence and fabulousness:
- **Don't be afraid to be bold!** Ditch the typical Tuesday attire and go all out. A full tutu or just a touch of tulle - the possibilities are endless! Embrace your personal style and rock it!
- **Add some sparkle!** Think sequins, glitter, and rhinestones - the more sparkle the better! We're talking major shine, enough to blind a vampire!
- **Make a statement!** Use your outfit to send a message. If you're rocking a colourful tutu, make a statement for LGBTQ+ rights or shout out your love for inclusivity!
- **Don't forget the music!** Pop on your favourite disco jams, pump up the tunes and get ready to boogie! This Tuesday's gonna be a blast from the past with all the groovy vibes!
