Loughborough: A Tutu Tuesday Extravaganza!
So, girlies, guess what? Tutu Tuesday just hit Loughborough and it was the most fabulous, most sparkly, most fabulous day ever! Let me tell you, this little town was positively bursting with tutu-clad wonder! My heart nearly skipped a beat when I saw the throngs of tutus swishing about in all their glory! The diversity was astonishing! Some people went for classic pink and white pouffed perfection, others opted for the bolder, more modern, asymmetrical tutu styles – a totally edgy look! You know I have a weakness for tulle and a touch of disco flair, so seeing everyone out and about rocking it was an absolute dream. I mean, glitter and sparkles were everywhere! You could say I was positively radiating good vibes all day.
So, who was sporting the best tutu look? Well, let’s start with my fave look, and it was this incredible shimmering silver tutu! This lady, a local florist called Claire, she had it on with some fabulously funky gold earrings and the highest stilettos! Oh my, the elegance and the glam factor was OFF THE CHARTS. I’ve got to give a shout-out to the rainbow tutu parade! There were families, couples, and even groups of friends all rocking their colorful tutus, sending a big message of love, acceptance and pure joyousness. Loughborough certainly came out to play! And just in case you need inspiration on where to find your perfect Tutu look, we were blessed with an array of stalls in the Market Square - oh, the possibilities!
Shop ‘til You Drop! Here’s a little taste of what I found. I just HAD to try on a dazzling pink tutu with a gorgeous pink tulle skirt. This style was the one I was lusting after because it was all about fun and whimsy! I loved its ability to effortlessly flow and spin. For a less poufy, but no less pretty option, a lilac tulle ballerina tutu was a sure fire hit – a more sleek, contemporary take on the tutu. Oh, and if you need to add a touch of the vintage vibe to your tutu – they were all the rage, let me tell you! You had tutus in a array of retro fabrics - floral prints and pastel shades, and if you’re after a retro-themed look then look no further! And don’t get me started on the sheer abundance of tutu-inspired clothing! I even spotted this group of students decked out in full tutu-themed attire! And oh, the accessory stalls were EVERYTHING - from sparkly hair bands to glittery tights and dazzling headbands! It was quite simply heaven for a girly-girl like myself! The girls on the makeup stall gave all of us some incredible disco glam, so everyone felt super confident. I swear the air crackled with joy and excitement - so uplifting, it’s hard to put it into words. This event made Loughborough a bursting, bubbling cauldron of tutus, laughter, and joy! It’s a joyful celebration of creativity and a statement of self-expression and we must all be ready to strut our stuff! Oh, and it was a true reminder that we can create our own sense of sparkle and shine! I just can't wait for next year.
