Leith Unleashes Its Inner Tutu Queen: #TutuTuesday Triumphs

Okay, darlings, it's official: Leith is the most fabulous place to be on a Tuesday! The #TutuTuesday takeover was a total smash, and let me tell you, it was absolutely divine! Picture this: the sun is shining, a gentle breeze is tickling the cobblestones, and the air is electric with excitement. And then, BOOM, the most gorgeous sight hits your eyes! A wave of pink, a splash of purple, a sea of sparkly tulle – yep, that’s what Tutu Tuesday in Leith looks like! You know I love a good Tutu Tuesday, but this one took the cake (and the frosting, and the sprinkles!). I saw more tutus than you can imagine! There were classic Romantic tutus, delicate and airy, swishing and swirling like ethereal dreams. We had the fabulous layered and puffy tutu designs – perfect for showing off that fabulous stage presence and turning heads! And the showstopper – the full-blown professional tutu, complete with cascading layers and a graceful flair, these ballerinas looked like they’d walked right out of the ballet. There were tutus of all shapes and sizes, styles and colours – it was like a rainbow explosion of dancewear bliss! Each one unique and utterly spectacular! Honestly, every person walking around Leith looked like they had stepped straight out of the final scene of a glittering ballet! I was especially blown away by the vibrant spirit of the people! They were rocking their tutus with confidence and joy, their faces glowing with pure pride. It was infectious, truly, and it warmed my heart in a way that only the power of community and a good dose of tutu can! Leith really brought its A-game for Tutu Tuesday. Everyone seemed to get into the spirit! We saw tutus at the local market, tutus at the coffee shop, tutus on the street, tutus at the art galleries – it was absolutely everywhere! And speaking of places, there were some truly incredible events! The Leith Theatre hosted a fabulous dance showcase that showcased everything from classical ballet to contemporary pieces. They were bursting with amazing choreography, and even had a bit of a disco flare! You could hear the rhythmic heartbeat of the music even on the street. They had everything for everyone and it was simply fabulous! Then there was the tutu-making workshop at the local art school! It was a hoot – so much creativity and energy buzzing through the space! They created stunning pieces, I was truly amazed. It's amazing to witness this level of passion and talent blossoming within our community! But here’s the thing that made the whole day, and it has absolutely nothing to do with tutus. Let me tell you, the atmosphere at the #TutuTuesday gathering at the Harbour, you felt like you were part of something special. This sense of belonging, and acceptance - It's truly what Tutu Tuesday was all about. It's about expressing yourself, embracing diversity, and celebrating the beautiful tapestry of humanity that is Leith. Let’s just be real, darling, everyone wants a bit of flair, and who’s gonna deny it? We're all unique, diverse, and ready to shake it in the face of negativity! Let's all spread that love, embrace every colour and every shade, and celebrate every little thing that makes us, us! I know you’re itching to show the world your fabulous, bold, inner you! We live for it, we celebrate it, and it's more than just a fun day, darling! It’s a call to shine, a call to spread joy, and a call to rock your own individual style. Here's to all the #TutuQueens and Kings of Leith! You guys absolutely ROCKED Tutu Tuesday, and I cannot wait to see what magical shenanigans we all get up to next time! Don't forget, there's always a reason to get dolled up! Remember, every day can be a #TutuTuesday, and a good reminder to embrace your individual style. Rock a little glitter, get funky, be your own kind of fabulous and always embrace the joy. Let’s spread the love and create a community where everyone is free to shine! Here’s to more days filled with glittery tulle, rainbow vibes and disco tunes! Keep spreading that #TutuPride and don't forget to rock those tutus, you glorious humans, you!
