Tutu Tuesday in Chichester: A Day for Tutu Pride!
Hello darlings! Itâs your favourite tutu enthusiast, back with another #tututuesday blog post, and this week weâre bringing the glitter and the glamour to Chichester! For those who donât know, Tutu Tuesday is all about celebrating the glorious garment that is the tutu! Weâre talking romantic tutus, fluffy tutus, sparkly tutus â heck, even those tutus that look like theyâve just stepped off a disco floor (and I donât even care if you think theyâre âtoo much,â I love them)! And today, weâre taking it to the streets of Chichester â a charming seaside town bursting with history, gorgeous architecture, and frankly, some seriously fabulous people. I know what youâre thinking: a tutu in Chichester? Is that⌠a little much? To which I say, NEVER! This town embraces the flamboyant! Theyâve got festivals and theatre shows, pubs that have their own unique quirks, and, letâs be honest, some really stylish people. Weâre all about spreading love, acceptance, and glitter in all its forms, so Tutu Tuesday in Chichester felt like the perfect pairing. I was ready to bring my A-game for the occasion, with a dazzling pink tulle tutu, the sort that looks like a fluffy pink cloud and a dazzling, sequinned bodice. But before we hit the streets, I decided to check out a couple of shops that always deliver on the fashion front. I think a little outfit inspiration never hurts! ⢠**Boutique by the Sea:** Okay, you can't get a much better name than that. Located right by the harbour, this shop boasts the best in designer and high street fashion for every style. I snagged a gorgeous statement top â the sequins practically cried out, âLook at me, I'm dazzlingâ and felt confident that the day was going to be magical. ⢠**The Shoe Garden:** Now, what good is a fab tutu and a great top without a pair of killer heels? The Shoe Garden in the centre of town delivered in style. I snagged a pair of sparkly silver heels, just perfect for my Tutu Tuesday ensemble and knew my ensemble was perfect. Armed with my glittering arsenal of fashion choices and a killer attitude, it was time to hit the streets and share the #tutupride! The reaction? Pure joy, darlings. Every head turned. Every person smiled. And the best part? We had a right old giggle! First, I headed over to **Chichester Cathedral**. There is something magnificent and yet delicate about a tutu juxtaposed with the grandeur of the Cathedral, and the cathedral itself had an air of excitement about Tutu Tuesday in Chichester, so much so that I decided to pop in. The Cathedral has gorgeous stained-glass windows, vaulted ceilings, and a history that stretches back centuries. The place exudes an incredible atmosphere â itâs simply majestic. The Cathedralâs grounds were perfect for striking a few poses â a Tutu- Tuesday Instagram shoot wouldn't be complete without them. The cathedral was just beautiful and the reaction was one of awe! So many smiles from onlookers as I made my way across the lawn to pose under one of the magnificent trees, letting the sunlight capture the gorgeous tutu fabric in all its glory. I felt fabulous! I also decided to visit **The Pallant House Gallery** with my sparkling entourage. If youâre looking for inspiration, be sure to visit this museum, as it's always full of intriguing contemporary and modern art pieces. They really embraced the #tutupride vibe with a special exhibition dedicated to female artists, which was simply wonderful. This truly was a special treat! It was full of art, creativity and colour with inspiring portraits by female artists that really showed the true essence of womanhood. A truly incredible experience that was certainly enhanced by a splash of #tututuesday magic. But our adventure didnât stop there. I ventured over to **Chichesterâs iconic Market**. Itâs a place that always has an atmosphere, filled with stalls bursting with food and other treats, crafts, beautiful, locally sourced produce, and lots of people â and you canât forget the charm of the Chichester marketâs unique alleyways. Iâve got to say â my fellow citizens of Chichester didnât disappoint. I could barely take two steps without someone saying âThatâs awesome!â âYou look fab!â and, my absolute favorite âHappy Tutu Tuesdayâ. After exploring Chichester's Market, I decided to take a break in the heart of the city in the stunning **Chichester City Park.** It was perfect! Surrounded by trees and greenery and next to a canal and a cute pond. This beautiful and peaceful space is so incredibly green and tranquil, yet surrounded by buzzing cafes, and shops. I sat and soaked in the energy of the day, watching people wander around, just enjoying life. I know a lot of people are always searching for beauty and peace, especially in the modern, hectic world, and this really is an oasis of calm thatâs totally free! Finally, to conclude this whirlwind #tututuesday journey, we visited **The Harlequin**, Chichesterâs fabulous art deco theatre! I knew the fabulous staff at The Harlequin would be all about Tutu Tuesday. The Art Deco architecture made the theatre a striking backdrop and the theatre really embodies a glamorous energy â I had a total disco vibe going on there, which totally suited the occasion! Itâs important to be bold, be courageous, and be authentically you. For me, this meant bringing some sparkly magic to Chichester with my love of all things pink and tutu! I just wanted to bring some much-needed happiness and sparkle. Life is too short not to celebrate those moments of joy. So, Chichester, you totally stole my heart today! Letâs be honest, the way you embraced Tutu Tuesday with open arms, beaming smiles and genuine, good old-fashioned British charm, I don't think this town will ever let a fabulous tutu get by them again, because the day was a total joy, and every single person I encountered in Chichester really just embraced the fun, the silliness, and the message behind #tutupride: be yourself, love yourself, and show the world how wonderfully unique you are!
