Tutu Tuesday in North Lauderdale, Florida: Tutu Time is Always Right! #tututuesday Hey there, tutu lovers! It’s your girl, Grace, back with another installment of Tutu Tuesday. I'm so excited to be bringing the tutu magic to North Lauderdale, Florida this week! I’m loving the vibe here, the sunshine, and all the beautiful people I've met! First of all, let's talk about this tutu obsession, right?! Tutus, in my opinion, are the ultimate expression of graceful movement, of femininity, and of artistic flair. It's the embodiment of classic dance, with a dash of playful whimsy, and it doesn't matter if you're a professional ballerina or just rocking out at your living room, a tutu makes you feel like you can fly. But wait, there's more to tutus than meets the eye. Think about all the amazing styles out there. You've got your traditional Romantic tutus, all wispy and fluffy. Those are definitely my go-to when I want that classic, elegant vibe. I’ve been using the Romantic style in rehearsals for “Swan Lake”, which was honestly really great fun, especially during rehearsals with the corps de ballet. There’s something amazing about feeling like one entity moving with one energy and it’s that energy I want to try and recreate for my readers. Then you have your whimsical, modern tutus, like those super cute tutus that I like to wear on my “Tutu Tuesday” posts that are perfect for any casual outing. My personal favs are the ones that feature vibrant colors and playful designs, the ones I can dance and play around in during photo shoots or for the weekly ‘Tutu Tuesdays’ post. And who doesn’t love a fun and playful design?! If you’re in a traditional tutus, especially if you are dancing in it, the fabric has to flow and let your movement breathe. A lot of the ones I wear come in black and pink and with a dash of purple and I love adding details and embellishments like lace, flowers, ribbons, you name it – I will adorn my tutu with it! My favorite one right now is the lavender satin with embroidered flower details - totally elegant and modern at the same time!
