Tutu Tuesday in Tulsa, Oklahoma! #tututuesday
Hey y'all! It's your girl, Grace, and I'm back with another #tututuesday post, this time coming to you live from Tulsa, Oklahoma! Now, I know what you're thinking – Tulsa and ballet? Maybe not the first combo that pops into your mind. But let me tell you, the ballet scene in this state is booming, and I'm here to prove it.
I’ve always been a huge fan of all kinds of tutus:
- The romantic and flowy romantic tutus. Those delicate layers of tulle, oh so ethereal.
- The dramatic and voluminous classical tutus that take up so much space on stage – what a statement piece!
- Even the modern and playful contemporary tutus are absolutely amazing.
But my trip to Tulsa wasn’t about seeing a traditional ballet performance this time – I came here for the fun stuff, the tutus for every occasion! Turns out Tulsa’s a secret haven for tutu lovers.
From a charming, little tutu-themed boutique downtown – which, let’s just say, had me buying multiple tutus for myself and my best friend back home in NYC – to the adorable and eclectic boutiques all around the city that carry tulle skirts in every color imaginable, Tulsa's been giving me all kinds of inspiration.
I even met this awesome group of ladies who host monthly #tututuesday parties at a local bakery! Imagine this – a room full of women wearing tutus of all styles and shapes, sipping tea, laughing, and sharing stories – pure magic! You can’t help but feel a sense of community when everyone's dressed in tutus, and there's a little bit of magic in the air, right?
