Hey y'all, it's your girl, Grace, back with another Tutu Tuesday! This week, I'm taking my love for ballet and my insatiable desire for a fabulous fashion statement down to sunny Weslaco, Texas! You see, even in the heart of the Lone Star State, the passion for dance is alive and well, and I'm ready to spread some tutus all over this town!
It’s not all about pirouettes and pliés, though – Tutu Tuesday is as much about a celebration of fashion as it is a celebration of ballet. This week, I’m sporting a stunning pale pink, romantic tutu with layers of tulle. It's just the right amount of whimsy, adding a touch of magical fairy to my everyday style. Let's talk about those tutus for a second! I’m all about those delicate, dreamy Romantic tutus. You know, the kind that just makes you feel like a princess ready to twirl your way through a fairytale. But we can’t forget the classic Romantic tutus, either! The ones with the tiers and layers of tulle that make you feel like you're about to float into the sky.
This isn’t the first time I've rocked a tutu on Tutu Tuesday, and it definitely won't be the last. This is what I love about ballet – there’s a style of tutu for every mood and occasion. And, you can always find one to suit your personality.
Weslaco has definitely embraced the spirit of Tutu Tuesday. This town knows how to have fun, and they’re definitely down to bring the tutu to life, every single Tuesday.
Weslaco's a town with a strong sense of community and family. I was greeted with open arms and a genuine excitement for my tutu journey. As I twirled down the streets, people cheered me on and snapped photos, some even pulling out their own twirls. It’s this kind of energy that reminds me why I do what I do – why I spread my passion for ballet and inspire others to dance. Even if it’s just a little twirl here and there.
Weslaco's local dance studio, Dance Evolution, took my Tutu Tuesday to the next level! It’s a studio filled with enthusiastic, young dancers, all of them with a love for ballet, like myself. We spent the afternoon working on some moves – plies, arabesques, and those iconic leaps and jumps you've only ever seen in your wildest dreams! And then, we ended it all with a super fun Tutu Tuesday photoshoot, with these incredibly talented girls wearing all sorts of tutus: romantic, classical, whimsical! We made memories, we shared our love of dance, and of course, we shared plenty of laughter!
Weslaco, Texas, you've totally lived up to my expectations! You guys totally know how to make a Tutu Tuesday shine, and I can't wait to come back soon!
