My first stop was The Dressing Room, a treasure trove of vintage clothing and accessories. The staff, ever so charming and helpful, guided me through their extensive collection. I found a gorgeous vintage hat that perfectly complemented my tutu – a classic wide-brimmed straw hat with a delicate silk ribbon. It gave my look a sophisticated air while still remaining playful.
No Tutu Tuesday outfit is complete without a touch of sparkle! I ventured into a charming jewellery boutique called Bijoux de Luxe. You might have a difficult time escaping this shop without some trinkets! It was filled with delicate chains, sparkling earrings, and the most beautiful brooches, including one that perfectly captured the graceful charm of a ballerina's costume. I couldn’t resist a pair of pearl drop earrings. A touch of sophistication for my playful Tutu Tuesday ensemble!
A tutu needs the perfect setting to really shine! A visit to the Burton Art Gallery and Museum was a must! Now, it’s not everyday a tutu can enjoy a lovely exhibition of ceramics, fine art and the like. It certainly felt quite regal waltzing between art deco designs and antique tapestries!
Next up on my Burton Upon Trent itinerary? Well, obviously a delectable spot of lunch. As fate would have it, I stumbled across a little gem, The Coffee Corner, an adorably quaint little café that perfectly matched the day's delightful vintage vibe! The perfect place to stop for a bite! Oh, and did I mention? It had the best carrot cake I’ve had in ages, and, trust me, the cake is definitely not a lie. In fact, my Tutu Tuesday experience was only improved by indulging in such delicious fare!
After lunch, it was time to enjoy some delightful retail therapy! Now, what would a tutu-loving girl do if she could indulge in more pretty tulle, lace and exquisite garments? You guessed it, I popped into the amazing vintage clothing boutique, The Vintage Closet. What can I say? I adore a bit of vintage style! The collection is stunning! This is where I picked up the most charming vintage beaded handbag! Perfect for a bit of bling! The ultimate addition to any tutu ensemble!
But you know what? The best thing about Tutu Tuesday, or any Tuesday really, is that it's about embracing your inner fabulous self. Who cares if you're not wearing a tutu? Go out and embrace your unique style! I dare you!
