G'day lovelies! I'm your girl, Maisie, and this week's Tutu Tuesday has taken me on an epic adventure to the charming city of Sartrouville in ÃŽle-de-France, France! As a dedicated ballerina with a passion for fashion, I've always been drawn to the vibrant dance culture that thrives in Europe. And, let me tell you, France has seriously upped the ante on tutu styles!
From the Classical to the Contemporary
- In Sartrouville, I stumbled upon an amazing ballet school tucked away in a charming corner of the city. The moment I walked in, I felt a palpable energy that only a room filled with passionate dancers can exude.
- The students were practicing everything from the grand classics, showcasing those gorgeous, full-skirted tutus you just die for, to modern, contemporary works that pushed the boundaries of dancewear with edgy, asymmetric designs.
- My jaw hit the floor when I saw some of the 'paillette' tutus with their sequins and intricate embroidery. Seriously, talk about 'bling!'
