Tutu Tuesday in Sartrouville, ÃŽle-de-France, France #tututuesday

G'day lovelies! I'm your girl, Maisie, and this week's Tutu Tuesday has taken me on an epic adventure to the charming city of Sartrouville in ÃŽle-de-France, France! As a dedicated ballerina with a passion for fashion, I've always been drawn to the vibrant dance culture that thrives in Europe. And, let me tell you, France has seriously upped the ante on tutu styles!

From the Classical to the Contemporary

  • In Sartrouville, I stumbled upon an amazing ballet school tucked away in a charming corner of the city. The moment I walked in, I felt a palpable energy that only a room filled with passionate dancers can exude.
  • The students were practicing everything from the grand classics, showcasing those gorgeous, full-skirted tutus you just die for, to modern, contemporary works that pushed the boundaries of dancewear with edgy, asymmetric designs.
  • My jaw hit the floor when I saw some of the 'paillette' tutus with their sequins and intricate embroidery. Seriously, talk about 'bling!'

Tutus Take Centre Stage!

The beautiful thing about ballet in France is the sheer love and dedication that is given to both traditional and contemporary styles. Whether it's a whimsical 'Romantic' tutu or a daring 'Modern' piece, there's an immense artistry to the design and construction of each tutu. These dancers really understand how to rock those tutus with passion, making them more than just costumes - they're like a second skin, showcasing both strength and artistry.

And talking about artistry, I simply HAD to capture this magical space in Sartrouville on film! I even filmed a short tutorial with some local ballerinas, who shared their expert tips for rocking those gorgeous French-style tutus!
