Tutu Tuesday in Saint-Priest, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes: A Ballet Bonanza! #tututuesday
G'day lovelies! Your favourite tutu-loving Aussie is back with another #tututuesday adventure! Today, I'm taking you all the way to Saint-Priest, a charming little town nestled in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. This is where the magic of ballet truly shines!
I've always been a bit obsessed with the artistry and grace of ballet, and it was a total dream come true to be here in France, home to some of the world's most iconic ballet schools. You know what they say, the French have a certain *je ne sais quoi* when it comes to dance, and trust me, they don't disappoint! I was fortunate enough to check out the Ballet de Lyon, one of the oldest ballet companies in France, and they blew me away. Every dancer on stage moved with a fluidity and precision that could only be described as breathtaking. Talk about a ballet bonanza!
Speaking of ballets, let's chat about tutus, right? Of course! The classic tutu has always been my favourite, with its layered, fluffy layers of tulle. A perfect balance between girly and dramatic. But you know what? I also adore those modern tutus! Remember that awesome show *Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo*? Those modern tutus were like art pieces! They didn't have to be fluffy and poofy to be elegant.
Oh, and speaking of modern tutus, did you know that there's a thriving ballet scene here in Saint-Priest, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, too? I had the chance to drop in at a local ballet studio and witnessed some amazing dancers working hard on their craft. Their dedication was incredible. They weren't just going through the motions - they were pouring their hearts and souls into each move. They really captured the magic and grace that make ballet so special.
I must confess, my fellow ballet enthusiasts, this tutu trip has definitely made me realise how versatile these beauties are! You can totally rock them with a sleek blazer and heels for a night out, or go for the full ballerinalook for a day at the ballet. This is why I love tutu Tuesday, you guys - it's all about embracing the joy and freedom of self-expression. A true celebration of dance!
