Tutu Tuesday in Cambrai, Hauts-de-France, France: A Ballerina's Parisian Dream #tututuesday
G'day lovelies! It's your girl, Tilly, here, and guess what? I'm living my best Parisian life right now, embracing all the culture, charm, and of course, *amazing* ballet this city has to offer. I’m in the delightful city of Cambrai in the Hauts-de-France region, and honestly, it's pure French magic.
Now, you know me, I'm always searching for the perfect tutu for every occasion. And let me tell ya, the selection here in Cambrai is *chef's kiss*! I stumbled upon the most exquisite atelier (that's French for studio, babes!), tucked away in a quaint little alleyway.
I couldn't resist grabbing a few of these beauties for my #tututuesday snaps, so let me spill the tea!
The first tutu I snagged was a *real* showstopper – a classic white, multi-layered tulle dream, just like the ones you see in the old school ballet videos. The details were phenomenal, delicate floral lace trimmings around the bodice, with intricate ribbon work adorning the straps. It made me feel like a graceful princess from a fairytale, and trust me, the pics were magical!
For a touch of Parisian sass, I opted for a bold, vibrant blue tutu. Now this one was *next level*. It had a playful, modern design with a short, asymmetrical skirt that swayed as I moved. While exploring Cambrai, I also came across the most beautiful ballet school! I popped in for a quick chat with the head instructor. She told me that ballet is super popular here, with young dancers starting as young as five. There’s a rich ballet heritage here, it turns out! I even heard whispers of an amazing, historical theatre in town where they perform spectacular ballet shows.
