Tutu Tuesday in Limeil-Brévannes, ÃŽle-de-France, France #tututuesday G'day lovelies! It's your girl, Chloe here, back with another fabulously frothy #tututuesday blog post. I'm absolutely buzzing about my latest adventure, exploring the vibrant world of ballet in the charming Parisian suburb of Limeil-Brévannes! It's like stepping straight onto a fairytale stage, only with less glitter and a lot more croissants! As you know, my Tutu Tuesdays are all about embracing the elegant beauty of this most glorious of garments. And believe me, there was no shortage of tutu inspiration in this lovely little town! My adventures began with a visit to the gorgeous Ballet Studio Le Papillon. It was tucked away down a cute little street, like something out of a movie. And inside? It was just magic! Gorgeous studio with the smell of freshly waxed floors and the echo of the clink of pointe shoes on the timber floor. I was completely floored by the amazing passion of the instructors and students. The energy in the room was electrifying - you could just feel the dedication and love for the art of dance. * The highlight of my visit, however, had to be the workshop where we experimented with a variety of tutu styles, I mean, seriously, can you even?! We were twirling and leaping through time and space! From the classical romantic tutus, so delicate and light, you could feel the floatiness and the airy nature of ballet with the voluminous frills, It was truly beautiful and inspiring, giving me so much appreciation for the design and what goes into a beautiful and inspiring garment. But let me tell you, things didn't stop there, oh no. This is Paris after all, with all its glamorous quirks. Next, I ventured into the historical district, there was this one amazing boutique, like an antique wonderland full of tutu inspiration! It's like the whole town is one giant stage! I had to get myself a new tutu of course, a sparkly number with gorgeous silk flowers and even some strategically placed sequins - I'm talking 'starry night' vibes! I mean, who can resist the temptation of a little sparkle, especially when you're in the city of lights? **Speaking of 'city of lights' **, I was utterly enchanted by the street performers I saw near the Place de la Republique. There was this one ballerina, her tutu fluttering in the wind, who had me spellbound. I am still not sure how she did it but I felt that she completely embraced the history of French Ballet! It felt like I was transported back to the time of the greats like Pavlova and Nijinsky. I was mesmerised. The joy and passion for ballet that exuded from these local dancers was truly captivating. It felt like every street corner held its own secret ballet performance waiting to be unveiled. **This Parisian adventure was a real lesson in celebrating diversity in the ballet world. I'm seriously loving the energy and artistry I've witnessed. ** It really highlighted that ballet is a universal language - one that transcends cultures and borders. Who would've thought I'd be finding tutu treasures in the heart of this charming little Parisian suburb, let alone discover the incredible talents within the local community? I'm completely smitten with the heart of the Parisian ballet scene, its dedication, its heart and most of all, it's infectious spirit. And guess what? I even got to share my love of ballet with the local kids! That's right, I headed to the nearby Centre d'Art et Culture and hosted a free workshop on everything tutu. It was just magical watching the little ballerinas light up with excitement as they danced around the studio. There was something truly special about seeing the magic of ballet ignite in those little eyes - a reminder that this art form continues to inspire generations. This journey, with all its tutus and surprises, is another reminder that life is about embracing new experiences. And just like that, I felt like I'd gone from being just another Aussie ballerina to becoming a cultural ambassador of dance - who knew? **Stay tuned, lovelies, for more #tututuesday adventures. Until next time!** Chloe x
