Tutu Tuesday in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, ÃŽle-de-France, France #tututuesday G'day, lovelies! It's your gal, Maddie here, back with another installment of Tutu Tuesday. This week I'm jetting across the globe to the enchanting city of Bonneuil-sur-Marne, ÃŽle-de-France in France! This historic city boasts a rich ballet heritage and it's been an absolute dream to immerse myself in the vibrant dance culture here. Tutus, Tutus Everywhere! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an absolute sea of tutus! The streets are buzzing with tutus of every shape, size and style – from classic romantic tutus with their billowing layers of tulle to contemporary tutus that are all about bold lines and minimalist designs. - **Classic Romantic Tutus:** These graceful beauties, with their endless layers of soft tulle, were the first tutu I ever dreamed of dancing in. It's the quintessential tutu that conjures up images of swans and princesses – timeless and breathtakingly elegant. - **Contemporary Tutus:** This type of tutu breaks free from tradition, experimenting with new materials, shapes and silhouettes. I saw one incredible example made with a combination of leather and sheer panels that was simply breathtaking. - **Character Tutus:** Of course, no trip to France is complete without spotting those cheeky character tutus, like the sassy French Can-Can tutu or the vibrant Gypsy tutus that burst with colour and movement. Bonneuil's Local Ballet Scene The heart of Bonneuil's ballet scene beats in the **Ecole de Danse de Bonneuil-sur-Marne**. I spent an afternoon in their studios, observing the students train, and the dedication and passion that oozed from every dancer. This city is truly brimming with ballet talent, with a vibrant **Centre National de la Danse**, just a hop, skip, and a pirouette away! I had the chance to catch a spectacular performance by a local dance company – a modern interpretation of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" that was absolutely mesmerising! **Tutu Tuesday French Style! #tututuesday** Tutu Tuesday in France was a total sensory overload, and not just for its ballet heritage. The city's charm was impossible to resist - every corner bustled with life and excitement. I sipped on delicious cafe au lait, savoured the aroma of freshly baked croissants, and watched the world go by from a sidewalk cafe. The French have a certain 'je ne sais quoi' when it comes to style, and it's clear their sense of artistry is also reflected in their approach to fashion. So, in celebration of all things French, I decided to create a Tutu Tuesday look inspired by a classic Parisian ensemble – a little black dress and ballet flats, but with a little extra "French flare" courtesy of a **pink tutu-inspired tulle overlay**. You can see my look on my Insta page, which I'll be sure to link in my bio. So, that wraps up my Tutu Tuesday adventure in Bonneuil-sur-Marne, ÃŽle-de-France, France. I'm so grateful to have experienced this extraordinary ballet culture and it was definitely an adventure I'll never forget. Au revoir! #tututuesday
