Tutu Tuesday in Maxéville, Grand Est France #tututuesday
G'day lovelies! It's Tutu Tuesday and guess what? I'm in France, or more precisely, Maxéville in Grand Est. The fashion scene here is on fire - not surprising, I'm in the heart of Europe! I've been immersing myself in French culture, including the *ballet* scene here. Let's be honest, ballet and tutus are like peanut butter and jelly – a match made in heaven!
French Flair
As an Australian dancer, I'm loving the *French flair*. Ballet in France has a certain je ne sais quoi. From the grand, romantic tutus of the Paris Opera Ballet to the contemporary style of the Centre National de la Danse, there's a stunning diversity in tutus here.
* **Classical Splendour:** The traditional tutus I've seen are incredible. They're voluminous, airy, and so beautifully made. It's no wonder they are synonymous with grace and elegance. The French really know how to make a tutu sing!
* **Modern Marvels:** However, what really impressed me were the contemporary tutus – those beautiful and bold statements of modern design. From soft, flowing fabrics to architectural silhouettes, the use of the tutu as a creative expression is inspiring!
Tutu Tuesday Treats
But back to my #tututuesday mission!
In honour of the day, I’ve been taking inspiration from the tutu trends I’ve witnessed in the ballet studios, boutiques, and streets of Maxéville. Here's what I've been sporting this #tututuesday:
* A classic tutu in a light pink – it’s so versatile, I can dress it up or down. I've worn it with a chic white shirt and cute heels for a day of exploring Maxéville. And trust me, it's just as cute paired with a casual denim jacket and sneakers for some evening drinks with my new French friends.
* A short, sassy tutu with a denim jacket and some combat boots - just a hint of the edgy look for this girl!
**French Tutu Inspiration**
Every corner in Maxéville has been an inspiring burst of colour and creativity. I’ve snapped some seriously fabulous shots – some of them you’ll be seeing on my socials! The whole vibe in Maxéville is one of artistic expression. I love it. It’s a great spot for any budding ballerina – and honestly, anyone who wants to find inspiration for a wardrobe revamp.
Tips for Your Tutu Tuesday
If you're looking to bring some tutu magic to your Tuesday, here's some inspiration from my *French* adventure.
* Think beyond ballet class:** Tutus are for every occasion, girls! Dress them up or dress them down, whatever floats your boat. They’re for any kind of activity you feel inspired to do on #tututuesday.
* Add a touch of colour: Don’t be afraid to experiment! Inject some bright hues or some daring patterns – the colour and patterns in tutus in France were just fantastic!
* Go big, or go home!: When in doubt, a statement tutu will always do the trick.
* Let your inner dancer shine: Put on some music and let the tutu be your inspiration! Even if you can't do a grand jeté, you can definitely channel that balletic spirit!
Until next time, darlings! Remember, tutu-ly awesome things can happen on a Tutu Tuesday!
