Tutu Tuesday in Sallaumines, Hauts-de-France, France #tututuesday

G'day lovelies! It's your girl, Chloe, back with another post. I know you're thinking, 'Chloe, you're in France? What's happening?' Well, let me tell you, I'm having a total blast exploring the beauty of this incredible country, and I just had to share a little bit of my experience with you guys.

Today, I found myself in the charming little town of Sallaumines, nestled in the Hauts-de-France region. I was searching for inspiration, and I found it in a beautiful local ballet studio! This town has a vibrant arts scene, and I got to chat with the teachers, and the students are so passionate. We were discussing everything from classical pointe shoes to contemporary tutus, and their excitement was contagious.

I love exploring local dance communities. These studios have an air of history that you just don't get in big city academies, and they teach in traditions that have been passed down for generations.

Now, I just HAD to rock a tutu today for my #tututuesday post. So, I snagged a gorgeous, vintage, black and ivory tutu from this incredible vintage clothing shop just outside of the studio, it was completely covered in tulle. Honestly, I think I spent the entire afternoon just swirling around in it! It reminded me of some of the classics I've been exploring while studying ballet here. It just screamed "swan lake" with a French flair!.

While I'm on the subject of classic French ballet, have you guys ever been to the Opéra Garnier? I went there the other week and was absolutely blown away! I had the chance to see a performance of "Giselle," and just about cried with how much I loved it. I love a dramatic and romantic ballerina in a traditional tutu and that was just perfection.

Now, I don't know about you guys, but I am such a sucker for custom tutus. It's a little bit more modern and a lot more experimental in comparison to a traditional, full, or a Romantic style, It gives off a "powerful woman" kind of vibe.

After visiting that beautiful local dance studio in Sallaumines, I'm more than ever in love with French ballet. The energy, the passion, the history and the breathtaking venues are simply remarkable. It was the perfect way to spend my #tututuesday.

Let me know what you guys think of my new post. I can't wait to see your #tututuesday snaps, so share them on social media and be sure to tag me!

Until next time, happy dancing!
