## **Tutu Tuesday in Wingles, Hauts-de-France: A Ballet Blogger's Parisian Adventure!** #tututuesday G'day, my fellow twirling enthusiasts! It's your favourite Aussie ballet blogger, back from a whirlwind tour of France and absolutely bursting with tutu-tastic tales to share. This week, I'm taking you all the way to the charming town of Wingles, nestled in the Hauts-de-France region, for a *Tutu Tuesday* like no other. Firstly, let me tell you, the French love for ballet is off the charts! In every little village and city, there's a ballet school or a theatre with a packed schedule. Wingles, although small, boasts a lively community with a vibrant dance scene. This was my chance to immerse myself in the heart of Parisian elegance and, you guessed it, find the most amazing tutu collection I could dream of! Stepping into the studio, it felt like a fairytale. Rows of carefully crafted tutus, all in a kaleidoscope of colours, lined the walls. My heart practically skipped a beat as I examined each one - there were classic **Romantic tutus**, with their voluminous, multi-layered tulle, perfect for ethereal performances. Then, there were the **Classical tutus**, shorter and structured, giving off a regal, elegant aura. And just when I thought it couldn't get better, they brought out the **Character tutus**, vibrant and full of life, like a celebration of diversity! Here's where the true adventure began. While the "traditional" tutus were stunning, the owner, Madame Simone, a petite but formidable woman with eyes twinkling like diamonds, whipped out something even more fascinating – custom tutus inspired by regional folklore! Imagine a tutu in the softest shades of lavender, with intricate embroidery inspired by the famous lace of Calais, just a stone's throw away. Or a tutu in bold, fiery reds and yellows, capturing the spirit of the vibrant poppy fields in the area. Each piece was a work of art, meticulously designed to represent the soul of this quaint little town. But it wasn't all about tutus and designs. I got to meet the students, chat with the teachers, and learn about their stories, their dreams. These passionate young ballerinas, their dedication, their talent, it was simply inspiring. They all had this unique fire in their eyes, a hunger to express themselves through the art of ballet, just like I do. There's a magical aura that surrounds ballet in France, especially in small towns like Wingles. It's almost as if it’s woven into the fabric of the town. There’s a deep reverence for tradition, a passion for excellence, and an infectious joie de vivre that makes every performance feel special, every step feel meaningful. This trip to Wingles was a real treat for this ballet-obsessed Aussie, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. It was a reminder that ballet transcends boundaries, cultures, and continents, uniting us all under a common passion for art and beauty. So, if you ever find yourself in Hauts-de-France, take a detour to Wingles. It might just surprise you! #tututuesday #Wingles #HautsdeFrance #frenchballet #balletlife #ballerina Things I learnt from my #Tutuesday visit: - **There’s beauty and magic in every type of tutu, even those inspired by regional folklore!** - **A ballet teacher’s heart is pure gold and full of passion.** - **Ballet isn't just about technique, it’s about expression and connection, no matter what language you speak.** Stay tuned, my fellow twirling enthusiasts.
